Country Thunder

Every year the most up and coming Country music stars perform at a 4 day festival known as Country Thunder in the farm town of Florence, Arizona. This even t is like no other, it boasts a 4 day camping, barbequing and music extravaganza where people from all over Arizona, as well as surrounding states set up shop for the weekend. This year's lineup of artists is extremely impressive, featuring stars such as Martina McBride, Troy Olsen, Toby Keith, Sara Evans and Eric Church - just to name a few.
What is great about Country Thunder, other than their impressive musical acts, is the lack of high price special booths, tents or VIP arenas. All performances are open to the general ticket holding public, and can be viewed on one of two stages. The food and beer gardens are flowing throughout the weekend, but most people cook their own food in the miles of tents, trailers and RVs. Camping at Country Thunder is a 4 day wild party of games, fireworks and food. Different campsite names such as "Roudy Coyote" or "Road Runner" provide concert goers with custom camping experiences, from the wild and outrageous, to the more family friendly zones. This event truly is for all ages, and is a great way to get your boots wet so to speak, in country music education. Every year the event gets bigger, and the camping areas get more crowded with country music enthusiasts. All campers are known as being friendly, willing to share hotdogs and beer, and everyone is there to just have a good time. In past years, this even is known to drawn an extensive celebrity crowd as well, who are all easy going enough to have meet and greets. The highlight of last year's events with Toby Keith wandering around the camping sites to say hello to the general public, and actor Kevin Costner having meet and greet times for a quick chat.
If camping isn't your cup of tea, the event is near many hotel options, some of which even offer a free shuttle to and from the event every day. To look into which Best Western is nearest to the concert site, please feel free to search the Best Western website. So throw on your dusty cowboy boots, pull out your best honky tonk moves and let the party begin!
