What better way to spend a hot, sultry August weekend than in Newport listening to the soulful sounds of jazz. The Newport Jazz Festival started in 1954 and is still going strong and has featured lineups from the great Miles Davis and Duke Ellington to the popular Chris Botti and Herbie Hancock. Austin City Limits Music Festival September 26-28, 2008

Festival Vancouver August 2-15
Canada's best known music festival is the Montreal Jazz Festival, but North America's largest classical music festival is located in Vancouver.
