The best summer beach is Vancouver's English Bay. It is a beautiful setting and there are many interesting people to watch! There is constant activity with people walking and rollerblading on the sidewalk. There are freighters and pleasure craft in Bay. There are some great beachside restaurants with excellent patios where you can have some refreshments and watch the view!

The best beach I have ever been to was Famagusta in Cyprus. That was almost 40 years ago. The white sandy beaches stretched for miles and the water was clear as glass. The water had a lot of variety of fish.

I went to Verradero this year and it was one of the nicest beaches I have ever been at.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina!!! Haven't been there since I was very little. Was my favorite beach then.

I like Hunting Island State Park outside of Beaufort, SC. It is gorgeous and has camp grounds. It is not crowded, and you can bring pets. There are very tall, old palm trees. It really is picturesque.

I feel very fortunate to have been able to visit many gorgeous beach locations around the world through my decade of employment with a major cruise line. I've decided that my favourite summer beach of all is the one where you have the company of a person or the people you love with you. You could be on the pristine, soft white sands of a Tahitian beach or the far rockier , more rugged beachlines of Southern Saskatchewan Canada. We live Oak Island, NC! It is very peaceful, clean, and perfect place for families. My kids love fishing on the pier and watching the baby Loggerhead turtles hatch!

I have to say the best...chill out...beach is Whitefish Lake, Montana. You can hang out on the beach, water ski, boat, swim or lay on the sand and soak up some sun. When you have had enough, there is great shopping and restaurants and then back to your Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge in Whitefish or Best Western White Oak Grand near Kallispel. Beautiful location with breath taking scenery! Not an expensive holiday but a GREAT RELAXING HOLIDAY for sure!!

It has to be Huntington Beach, CA. There is always something fun going on. There are people from all overt the world. A great dog beach in one area. And it is surf city after all :)

Kolobrzeg, Poland on the Baltic Sea. It's a wonderful mixture of old world charm and new world excitement. If I could spend a couple of weeks there every summer, i'd be very happy!

Old Orchard Beach, Maine is the most wonderful beach our family has ever been to. The beach is so clean and the waves are so much fun. You can surf, body board , float or just swim. There is a great pier off the beach with lots of entertainment. Go and see for yourselves how great it is!!

Any beach near the Monterey Bay is terrific for watching people and wildlife, and the sun shines without getting too hot. (Pack a sweater for the morning and evening fog!) Carmel has fine, white sand beaches. Monterey and Pacific Grove have tide pools. And Big Sur cliffs are spectacular.

The best beach my family loves is Mustang Island. Texas. where we go to family camp every year' it is laid back ,not crowed and nearby there is the Texas State Aquarium, great seafood places and USS Lexington; I also love the other end of the island South Padre Island Texas where the sun shines even in October. it is clean and not crowded with great birds at Padre Island Seashore and horse riding on the beach.

I love getting together with my large family at the beach. We have so many good memories of/at Destin, Florida!

Bear Lake on the Utah/Idaho border. It blew me away when I first visited there last year! I felt like I had been transported to the Caribbean! It's so beautiful with it's turquoise water and white sandy beaches.

Any of the beaches in and around the Hamptons, Long Island. White sand, clear water, not too many crowds, & great surf at the beaches. Great towns for dining, window shopping, and people watching when off the beach!.

The best beach I have been to is Pismo Beach on California's central coast. It is warm enough to enjoy without baking you. Also, there are plenty of amenities--restrooms, restaurants, motels, and shops nearby. There are often a few beach volleyball games going on which are fun to watch, and sometimes you even get a chance to join a game. Also, on weekends, there is a fellow who does a wonderful sand sculpture. We spent a few days there a year ago June for our son's graduation from the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

The best beach is Matador Beach in Malibu, CA. It is a magnificent scenic place with scuptural rocks made by nature. It is a perfect place to walk, mediate or lie down and enjoy the peaceful place. I simply love it !

I think the best beach is Pismo Beach, CA. It is warm enough there to enjoy sitting on the beach, but not so hot as to be uncomfortable. It is easy to get to, with parking that is not too far away. It also has plenty of nearby amenities like restrooms, restaurants, motels, and shops. There is often a beach volleyball game in progress which is fun to watch (and even more fun to join and play). Every weekend there is a fellow who does a gorgeous sand castle sculpture.

My favorite beach was Tiger Beach in Florida. It's where the Great White Sharks and others go to lose their teeth--may not be too exact, but what I remember--I found a giant Great White tooth and macrame it as a necklace still have it to this day. When we were on our floats, nurse sharks swam under us! The water was warm there were sandbars to play on and the sand was as white as could be.

Santa Barbara wins hands down. Beautiful beaches, beautiful people, lots of good food and perfect weather.

The best beach is Hampton beach, nice long beach, lots of waves, people of all ages. Ocean boulvard is really close by, food, cold drinks, live music, friendly people. Clean facilities. The best beach we went to was Coronado Island/San Diego. The best part was staying on the navy base because of my hubby. The beach is the same as the Hotel Del Coronado but NOT populated because of the fence separating them from the base. Not busy and we found so many whole sand dollars that we stopped picking them up.

Seven Seas Beach in Fajardo Puerto Rico. Amazing water and the view is to die for. It is surreal being there. Absolutely gorgeous.

Coronado, CA in the San Diego area. All kinds of things to do at the beach.....swim, surf, boogie board, skim board, build sand castles, ride bikes, walk, beautiful sunsets. A stay at the Hotel del Coronado isn't bad either. Walk everywhere, great food and night life!! Weather nice all the time!!

San Diego is my ultimate beach because the surfing there is awesome. Got alot of surfer buddies there and beautiful ladies. San Diego has good weather year round, so I can surf there just about any time.

Dominican Republic! I love the beautiful palm-lined beaches. There are coral reefs to snorkle and scoba dive near. There are areas where the sand seems to go on for miles and others with lots of cool rocks with fun tide pools to explore.

Pacifica, CA just a few miles south of San Francisco has great beaches. My favorite is Sharp Park Beach with the Pacifica Pier and the Chit-Chat Cafe. Long stretch of beach, great path for biking or dog walking and nice view of Mori Point. It's a little piece of paradise just outside the city.

Any California beach as long as I have a cold drink and a trashy novel, what better way to spend a sunny Californian day!!

My favorite beach so far is the Craigsville Beach on Cape Cod. It is fairly quite there and a great place to bring children.

In my opinion, the best travel destination is Virginia Beach. I love it there so much because it has Everything; it has great amusements, great places to dine, and of course the beach - which is totally gorgeous. I am hoping to go there again one of these days.

I think the BEST Beach is just North of Morro Bay CA, South of Cayucas. The reason being is it is unknown (until now). It's a very private local beach that you have to hike into. Once there you can spend the whole day without seeing anyone else.

The BEST Summer beach is in Pismo Beach, California! Within Pismo Beach there are three white sand beaches, each with their own experience. Pismo Beach has the long pier where you can fish, watch the sunset, or hang out on the beach. You can drive on the hard pack sand at Oceano Dunes, park your vehicle and run into the water. You can hit the Shell Beach caves and explore or kayak your day away. Visited all three a few weeks ago during our honeymoon and loved them! Pismo Beach is a hidden jewel and amazing beach destination!

Our favorite beach to visit is South Lake Tahoe! I am a bit biased because I grew up there :) Crystal blue water, boating, fishing, swimming, what's not to love? Plus the scenic views of the mountains which right now actually still have snow on them!

Anna Maria Island, Florida is the best beach. The water looks like a pool and the sand is so white and soft. You can search for sand dollars and often times see dolphins. It is so beautiful.

I haven't been but my daughter says the best beaches are in Australia, especially at the Great Barrier Reef.

We recently discovered Indiatlantic Beach. It is quiet, close to entertainment, clean, no cars on the beach and a straight shot to Kissimme which makes it very easy to get to the theme parks after your time at the beach.

My favorite beach to go to is Bahia Honda State Park in the Florida Keys. It has beautiful whate sand, and the water is a beautiful aqua marine. We have never encountered huge crowds there, and with no beach homes or businesses, the scenery is perfect.

The best beach my husband and I have ever been to was Ke'e Beach on the north shore of Kauai in Hawaii. It is literally the end of the road, so it feels very secluded. It's a small lagoon with pretty good snorkeling, and minimal waves. And, to the left the majestic Na Pali coast cliffs tower over you while you swim. You'll feel like you're on the set of a movie! It's a sight you have to see and experience in person!

The best beach I have ever been to is Sapphire Beach on St Thomas. The sand is soft and the water is so blue and clear.

Half Moon Cay is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The Caribbean waters are crystal clear. The white sandy beach lined with palm trees is the ultimate summer beach spot. It was so awesome. I will never for that beach.

Wasaga Beach Ontario Canada. Boasts the longest freshwater beach in the world. Just beautiful and worth the drive!

I love the beach on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Lots of nice clean white sand, great for lounging, strolling & playing, the water is perfect for all water sports, and all amenities are close by. What more could a vactioner ask for?

The best kept secret in Canada is Parksville on Vancouver Island. The beach is long and the water is warm and shallow. You can walk out for ages. We used to vacation there every summer when I was a kid. It was such a dream walking along the beach, relaxing and having fun with family. If you ever get to Vancouver Island, you must check it out!

Grayton Beach, Florida. Grayton State Park is there. Beautiful, white sandy beaches & sand dunes. Crystal clear water. Wonderful!

Coronado Beach is the best hands down. Pretty easy walking distance from the Best Western on Coronado Island, not too crowded, and perfect (smaller) waves for the kids to learn how to boogie board. Can't wait to take my family back there again someday!

Starlight Beach in Alpena, Michigan. Sand, grass, places for kids to play and swim, picnic areas.... The best thing is.. is that its 3 blocks from my house so I can go everyday!

I like the beach at Ocean City, Maryland because I always went there as a child.

In Pacifica, CA, which is just south of San Francisco, there are three great beaches. My favorite is Sharp Park Beach. The beach is long and beautiful. The Pacifica Pier is popular for fishing and crabbing, and has the Chit-Chat Cafe to grab a warm drink or snack on a cold and foggy day. Mori Point sits at the south end of the beach and is great for hiking and views of pelicans and other birds, or even whales at times. It is a relaxed and peaceful escape from The City.

Coronado Island (San Diego)
To just stand there and feel the water trickle on your toesies and watch the waves crashes, nothing to see but miles and miles of ocean. I had the best time at night hunting seashells with my husband who got excited and said "it this a big enough one" and it was a clam as big as a hamburger.
I even eyed up the local Best Western not too many blocks away from the beach. I would love to go back and spend a few days, not just a few hours.

Kamaole Beach III is my favorite destination. I will save money up and go there over and over again.

The best beach I have ever been to was called Red Frog beach in Panama. My friends and I have had to get there by boat, they served Mountain Dew in glass bottles. The sand wasn't full of garbage and there weren't screaming kids everywhere. There also weren't a bunch of elderly nudists. It was perfect!

Panama City Beach! I have been to many beaches including Hawaii, Caribbean, and the Mediterranean. They all have lovely beaches but none have the sugar white sand that Panama City Beach or for that matter the whole Gulf Coast have! Then there is the beautiful aqua blue water! No contest!

Gulf Shores beach! We just love the peacefulness of it and we've made it a tradition to go every year.

The most memorable beach I've been to was Port Dover, Ontario. It is about an hour from Hamilton, Ontario via Hwy 6 South (one road to follow - very easy to get to from Hamilton and surrounding areas.) Lake Erie was warm enough to feel comfortable when swimming and yet still cool and refreshing. The depth of the lake was also relatively shallow, so I felt safe when I swam and played in the water.

Another cool thing about Port Dover is little shops and museums in the area. When you get bored from sitting on the beach or swimming, you still have a lot of places to visit and explore! It is a great place for families with children to visit for the weekend.

The most beautiful beach I have been to is Angra dos Reis at the Blue Tree
Park Resort in Brazil. It was very secluded, surrounded by the Rain Forest on three
sides and beautiful white sandy beach looking out at the Ocean.

Ahhh Ma'alaea Bay in Maui is just a magical place with its beautiful quiet beach stretching on for miles. The sand is beautiful, the water warm & even with a tropical rain you appreciate when the trade winds kick up to cool you down.

A few years ago, my best friend and I were hitchhiking across Europe to a dream summer job of every student: waitering in Italy. The job agency messed up so no job awaited us, but slowing down and enjoying a part of our summer at the spectacular beach in Giulianova, Italy was priceless. No jobs but lifetime memories!

My wife and I enjoy warm weather and warm water and so we beleive that the few days we enjoyed at Varadaro, Cuba when we were able to walk what seemed like half a kilometer out from shore into the gentle waves, warm water and warm air was to be the best of all beach experiences.

The Absolute BEST BEACH IN THE WORLD is the beach on Half Moon Key in the Bahamas.
It is a Private Island owned by Holland America Cruise Lines.
It is always very warm, sunny, perfectly sandy and simply perfect.
It's great for kids and adults alike, has miles of walking beach, safe areas for kids and they incorporate Horseback Rides and free BBQ's into the Guest perks.
There are also little shops on the Island.
"I want to live here forever" is it's motto, and I heartily agree with it.
I've been there many, many times.
And I don't even work for Holland America!

My favorite beach is Mavalette Beach in Cape St Mary Nova Scotia! My boyfriend and I go there every year the 3 mile long beach sand is white, the atlantic ocean has amazing waves and clear blue water. and when the tide is out youcan walk almost a mile out. it is so beautiful and so peaceful. it is our true romantic getaway! and if you are going to experience something this beautiful the fact that it is in my own amazing country makes it that much better! thanks Canada!

My best summer beach in the whole wide world is Panama City Beach, Florida. I love this beach, because the sand is so perfect and the surf is just so great! I can run along the beach that goes as far as the eye can see, and with the waves brushing against my legs. I feel like I am in heaven on earth. The waters are crystal clear and perfect for swimming. And you have not seen sunset until yous see a sunset over Panama City Beach!

My family thinks that Sauble Beach in Ontario is the best beach. The water is crystal clear and always warm. The sand is clean and the beach stretches on for miles. Every year they have a sand-sculpture contest which always has some amazing talent!

My favorite beach is Keawakapu on the island of Maui. The beautiful white sandy beach goes on for miles and the snorkeling is 2nd to none.

I hesitate to name my favorite beach as it is not well known, and as that is part of its appeal, I would like it to remain that way! Three Tables Beach on Oahu is a small, wonderful beach any time of the year. My son had a turtle swim right by him!

My favourite summer beach is Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We just returned from a summer vacation there for the 6th time. The sand is beautiful, soft, clean, and easy to walk on. You can walk for miles! The ocean is warm in the summer. There are also many things to do there besides the beach: themed mini golf courses, lots of shopping, great shows, numerous restaurants. It has something for everyone of any age.

Best beach for me is on the South Shore of Nova Scotia west of Liverpool at the Thomas Raddall Provincial Park. Miles of white sandy beach with aqua colored water and almost totally deserted. Nature at it's best, unspoiled and pristine.

My favorite beach is Magens Bay Beach, in St Thomas.

Lawrencetown Beach in Lawrencetown Nova Scotia.
Miles of beach, lots of waves very cold salt water from the Atlantic Ocean and maybe that is why Nova Scotian's are sometimes referred to as Blue Nosers.
People enter that water all year round and they also hold a Polar Dip there on New Years Day. The beach surf is spectactular druing a storm and people got there just to see the surf and well as walk on the Boardwalk.

Big Beach, Maui. So spacious and great for walking up and down it. The waves are perfect for swimming or for body surfing. The beach is perfect for sun tanning and there is always a breeze so you stay cool. It just has everything you look for in a beach!

The most beautiful beach we've ever visited is in Barbados, seconded by Australia - too many to mention there.

In 2008 my wife and I spent the afternoon on Ostia Beach outside Rome, Italy. The sunsetting on us with the nice sand and warm heat. No worry. No care. A perfect day at the beach. One of our best beaches.P

Melmerby Beach just outside of New Glasgow, NS is fabulous. This beach lies on the north shore of Nova Scotia on the Northumberland Strait, which separates Nova Scotia from PEI. The Northumberland Strait has the warmest waters north of the Carolinas. Melmerby Beach has a very gentle slope. You can walk out 100 feet and only be in three feet of water. When the tide is out, wonderful sandspits are created, allowing all to be creative with the wet sand.

The beack at Western Brook, Newfoundland. There are beautiful white sand dunes and a sand bar where the brook enters the ocean. My dad took me there as a child and I took my fiance there just before we married. We found hundreds of sand dollars at the ocean's edge.

Horseshoe Bay Beach in Bermuda is the most beautiful crescent-shaped beach of soft pink sand and turquoise ocean. It's the #1 go-to beach in Bermuda, to see and be seen. A perfect hot-spot for great picnics, sunbathing, swimming, walking the beach. And every Good Friday it's where Bermudians congregate to fly kites, a Good Friday tradition.

I have only been to one beach and that was at Coney Island in New York. I was about 6 and remember shaking the salt out of my hair after we left. I would love to experience that again.

Maine is a very beautiful and unspoiled state where people are extremely hospitable especially on the coastal areas including Old Orchard Beach. The best beach I've been to is the Waikiki beach in Oahu, Hawaii. It is so clean and beautiful, a great vacation destination.

When we went to LA our boys liked Santa Monica Beach the BEST. They loved chasing the waves and letting the waves chase them. They also liked watching the little sharks from the Pier.

Cresent Beach, Nova Scotia has a serene " Fairy like " quality that continues to draw me back, with it's ever changing long sandy shoreline. As each tide ebbs, new treasures of nature are revealed on this sandy canvas.

My most favourite summer beach is Manly, NSW Australia if we are talking about anywhere in the world. If I have to keep my answer within North America then I love the beach at Pinery Provincial Park on Lake Huron near Grand Bend, Ontario. The sand dunes, white sand, beautiful sunsets and water temperature remind me of the ocean in my birth place, Australia.

The best beach I have ever been to was Waikiki beach, where it is Summer All The Time! It does not matter what time of year it is, the beach is the same. Great sand, warm water and lots and lots of room. I can't wait to go back!

The best and most interesting beach we have been at was a little beach on Hutchinson Island Florida called affectionately by the locals as Bath Tub Beach. We recently purchased a home in Jensen Beach and had occasion to visit "Bath Tub Beach" On the shores small depressions are created by the calm waters that fill with water creating many natural bathtub sized pools making it safe for babies and toddlers to enjoy the warm Atlantic waters and reassure adults that their children will be safe during a wonderfull day of beach fun.

I live on the East Coast and absolutely love Myrtle Beach. It is everything going to the beach is supposed to be. Great Beaches, Great Food, Great Shows, Shopping and lots of great people watching.

My favorite beaches though are in California. Avila, Pismo and the very best is Monterey Bay.

My favorite is the Boracay beaches in the Philippines, with its fine white sands and crystal clear blue waters, truly one of the best in the world!

Tybee Beach outside of Savannah, Georgia is the best ever! The island has the feel of a good "old timey" beach town - you can walk the boardwalk, tan in the sunshine, or just put your beach chain in about 2 inches of water at the edge of the ocean, and enjoy the water lapping over your feet. The game of half-rubber was invented on Tybee, and you can join in a game on the beach, or you can walk the mile of beach and enjoy the gulls in the air or the dolphins in the water.
The best thing about Tybee Island Beach - it is only about a 15 minute ride from the Best Western Plus in Savannah's Historic District. After a day of fun in the sun, you can enjoy an evening in one of the South's most beautiful cities!

My favourit beach is, Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman. It is not only the most beautiful beach I have ever been to, it is completely public, and you can walk the entire stretch(which in spite of its name is actually only 5.5 miles.) We have been to Grand Cayman many times, and the only place we have to go, is Seven Mile Beach, it wouldn't be the same if we didn't get to the Beach!

Best beach - was Wineglass Bay in Tasmania Australia - one has to walk to get to it, there is a sign up that states "the walk to the wineglass lookout may be the hardest walk you do in Tasmania" its worth walking to the lookout and then continue on to the beach - when you get to the beach there are very few people on it - almost like having your own private beach and the day we were there a seal was swimming along the shore line - the view is breath taking!

Jaco Beach, Costa Rica! A great family resort with a terrific pool area, nearby attractions and at the North end of a growing resort town.

My family really enjoyed our week long stay at the Cocoa Beach BEST WESTERN! It is here that you'll find a great ocean front property with rooms in a quadrangle form that create an intimate subtropical oasis styled court yard with a lovely pool and sun deck. But, for the ultimate experience, I suggest that you book one of their ocean front suites located in the seperate eight floor tower. They have all the amenities you will need to feel like you are at home in paradise. It also is the closest ocean front Best Western to the Orlando area, the Kennedy Space Center, the second busiest deep sea port-Port Canaveral, and it is within walking distance to Ron Jon's Surf Shop, the Cocoa Beach Pier, public golf course and great dinning. It is simply the center of the Cocoa Beach universe' experience!

The best beach with beautiful sand and water must be Cancun, Mexico. The color is just so perfect and people just fly that far for those beautiful oceans.

Schoolhouse Beach on Washington Island (off the tip of the Door County in WI) is the best! The water (in the mid-late summer) is crystal clear and refreshing. The beach is made entirely of small smooth stones so there is no worry of getting "sand in your shorts".

I came to love the clearwater beach in florida for its serene environment and the white sands. The sands are so soft and relaxing, it just makes you walk and walk. Everyone should check it out atleast once.

In the summer, the Oregon beaches cannot be beat. Personally, I like Seaside and Cannon Beach. They are close together. Cannon has an upscale but funky feel to it, while Seaside is all about fun. However, any beach is great if you are sharing it with Family and Friends.

Gulf Shores, AL. I just went for the first time and had a vacation I will NEVER forget. Also made some great new friends whom I hope to never forget! Best vacation of my life.

The Big Island of Hawaii has the best beaches for fun and sun. One of the most interesting to walk on is the black sands beach.

The best beach is the Oregon coast beach at Seaside. Our BW hotel was on the beach and even though it wasn't real sunny we still had a great time. My daughter loved the ocean. It is a great place to take a family and travel the coast and see beautiful sights.

The Old Kona Airport Beach in Kona, Hawaii is the best beach. You have the amazingly clear ocean, with these giant tidepools formed by the lava rocks that you can swim in! There is ocean life all around to explore and look at. The water is warm, clear and the days are clear and beautiful. Not to Hawaiian atmosphere! It is wonderful.

I love La Jolla Cove in Southern California. Since it is a protected area, there is a lot of sea life to discover. The kids love exploring the tide pools and we always see a Sea Lion or two when we visit. I have fond memories of being taught to snorkel there by my Grandfather.

The best beach in Ontario is located in Cobourg - Victoria Beach, on Lake Ontario. Tons of beautiful sandy beach, can walk quite a ways. As well, you can walk along the pier and to the Harbour and see all the beautiful boats docked there. Also, there is camping right beside the beach, a beautiful park, outdoor entertainment, restaurants and cafes. Children's play area, shower/change rooms and bathroom facilities. Very beautiful and relaxing. Great picnic area.

Out of province, I would have to say Eagle Beach, in Aruba. You can walk for miles on clean, white sandy beaches. You can participate in water sports along your walk, hop in and out of the ocean, stop at different resorts for a refreshment/ shopping and even casinos. Love, Love, Love Aruba Beaches.

Beaches in Zihua, Mexico! Pretty sand, beautiful sunsets, snorkeling with the colorful fish, and.....at night you can see photoluminescent plankton when you swirl the water. wonderful!

The Oregon beaches are the best...from Florence to Seaside. Rugged, great for agate collectors, whale watching, and much more. Weather is sure to surprise you each time you go. Lighthouses dote the entire coastline, while huckleberries are in abundance. The flowers are beautiful and sanddunes call your name. But most of the time I just love to watch the storms and wonder how large the next wave will be that comes crashing onto the sandy shores.

Stinson Beach in Northern California is so amazing! It is quiet most of the time and sits on the ocean side of Tampalpais mountain (really twisty but gorgeous ten mile ride over the mountain from Marin County). Small little community - ice cream and snack shack - a couple of route 66 type motels - one market and a couple of restaurants. You can hear the birds and rustle of trees at night. Peaceful, stunning sunsets, the fog sometimes comes over the mountain and hangs like a sheet. Yours might be the only foot prints along the sand in the early morning. OK so it's known for its shark sightings, but the water is too cold to go too deep or for too long. It's all about the serenity (and minimal cell service) of this little town and its beach only 30 minutes from the hustel and bustle of San Francisco.

Kaanapali Beach in Maui. Great sand, lots of room and wonderful snorkeling close by!

My favorite beach was in Curacao. The beaches are man made so you do not have the waves. You can swim without waves . They even have palm trees you can lounge under without getting too much sun. The beaches in the Carribean are the most beautiful.

My favorite beach is from a childhood memory of my home village called Akutan. A remote village on the Aleutian Islands. Throwing rocks into the water, running along the boardwalk, as there are no streets. It might just be the most beautiful place I've ever seen! They are finally building a runway across the bay, so I will be back next year!

I like Tybee Island, GA, just outside of Savannah. I like it because it is just a town with a beach; it's not a big tourist destination, just a sort of sleepy geriatric town. Sure there are a few tourists, but it's not "overly-touristed". It has it's cheesy and run-down spots, which is actually nice for a tourist destination. A lot of destinations are totally "disney-fied" these days. Tybee is near Savannah, which is a lovely town. Between Savannah and Tybee, there is a large nature sanctuary. Tybee makes for a low-key, relaxing vacation.

My family's all-time favorite beach is Brenneke Beach in Poipu, Kauai! It is small and right next to Poipu Beach. It's an undiscovered treasure! Great for body surfing, swimming, watching the whales, dolphins and turtles! PARADISE!!!

The beach at Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge in Virginia. The best part is the area that can only be reached off of the Wildlife loop by biking or walking. It is beautiful and not crowded, even at the height of summer. The last time we were there we saw piping plovers running in and out of the surf! It is also a great place to pick up shells.

North Myrtle Beach is the best beach ever! Clean, white sand - ocean breezes - beautiful scenery. We love to sit on the beach & watch the parasailers, jet skiiers, beachcombers, swimmers, etc. - always something going on!

My husband and I just LOVE Cocoa Beach, Florida. It may not be anything new to most but to us it is paradise. We stay on the beach at least twice a year for about 10 days and this beach is clean, not crowded and just as pretty as can be. Where we stay we can walk to the Pier for a nice lunch and walk back. The water is great, great for swimming, para-surfing, surfing, fishing etc. We have been to many beaches and got married on Mustang Island in Texas but by far Cocoa Beach is the best.

The beaches on the Big Island of Hawaii are terrific. The colors of the sand are impressive.

We love staying at the lighthouse inn at Ocean shores WA. Great views, nice people and really nice beach to look for shells beachy things, etc. We love the deer that come right up to the door. Our dog loves to play ball on the beach. It is one of our favorite places.

Without a doubt, for me it is Aruba because the water is warmer and the waves are small. The beaches are sandy, and where we stay there is no seaweed. You can spend all day in that water and love every minute of it, and you can enjoy it year round.

Kailua Beach on Oahu is my new favorite beach. It wasn't really crowded, nice sand, just a beautiful place!!

For me it has to be the entire Oregon Coast. So many memories from childhood on up to recently. It's been awhile since I've been over there, might have to change that.

I love the Pacific Northwest & the OR beaches just exemplify what the NW means to me.

Best ever beach! NEGRIL Jamaica. 7 miles of beautiful white sand, crystal clear water thats always the perfect temperature for every kind of water sport. You can "walk" the beach and stop at a variety of restaurants and bars. Some hotel oriented and some local owners. The resorts on the beach allow anyone to use their pools etc. The food is great, the drinks are great, the water is great! Hands down, this is my pick! And should be yours!

Cannon Beach, Oregon is the best beach. It is breathtakingly beautiful. Haystack Rock sits in the ocean and is simply picturesque. The town is a quaint ocean village with wonderful art galleries, shops and restaurants. It is a must see place in Oregon.

Nothing like the "dead sea" in Israel real cool you float.

A most beautiful beach is Schoolhouse Beach on California's north coast. It is easily accessible from the legendary Highway 1, and has trails from the beach into the redwoods.

The unspoiled beaches of Assateague Island west of Virginia. definitely the best summer beach. White sand, rolling waves, spansive marsh on the backside and wild ponies!

Torrey Pines beach in San Diego is the best beach. It has everything - incredible sandstone cliffs as a backdrop, nice soft sand to walk on, fairly dependable waves for boogie boarding and surfing nearby (Black's), a bit light on the snorkeling action but just a ways out is a very deep canyon with excellent scuba scenery. The lagoon immediate across the street is a beautiful preserve with lots of neat birds - egrets, herons, sandpipers, terns - always something to see there.
The beach has a gentle slope so that it's great for little ones. The tide has a big enough swing that you can build substantial sand castles, and the beach has enough bling to decorate the castles (shells, rocks, sticks). Nearby are a couple of restaurants that allow beachgoers to refresh without emptying their wallets, and a huge parking lot makes the logistics of going to the beach headache-free. It's here in the US, the weather and water temperature are overall dependable (the water is refreshing - no bath temperatures!) and this beach has everything that you would ever want in a public beach!

Near home our favorite beach is South Beach in Little Compton, RI. Get there early enough (or late enough) and you can back your car right up to the beach. The sandy beach is perfect for little ones to build sand castles by day, and cuddly around a toasty fire after watching another beautiful ocean sunset.

Of course, any beach in Aruba, Florida or Hawaii...or whatever beach I'm on...is always best!

Ocean Isle Beach,N C, nice clean quite for relaxtion and also fishing from the surf,pier and inter-costal waterway. You are a short distance of several beaches in NC and SC. There are outlet malls close by for shopping and historical sites to see.

GULF SHORES, AL --- I love the sand, the water, Everything! It is set up nice for people staying on the beach or if your staying a few miles away. Of course,the only other beach I've been too is Ft. Walton which was nice, But I think Gulf Shores is most Beautiful!!! My husband and I ended up there several years ago on an Anniversary Weekend getaway by accident and have been going back ever since!!

My all time favorite beach is Jaco Beach in Costa Rica. I went there as a teenager for a school trip and cannot wait to go back. The beach is calm and absolutely beautiful. Also, monkeys love to pick on novice tourists and gobble up their food!

We loved Tunnels Beach on the island of Kauai. It is fairly secluded and simply great for snorkeling right from the shore.Everything about it is sublime and there even are trees there for shade!

Main Beach in Laguna Beach, California. It has great surf and sand, expert volley ball watching, great people watching, great strolling and places to eat and shop on the beach and close by.

Of all of the beaches that I have visited I'd have to say that Indian Beach near Cannon Beach, OR. is by far the best. For surfing, it's about the best the Northwest has to offer and I dip a fin regularly. For family fun it's great. It's too cold to swim without a wetsuit but that is made up for by the stunning scenery from the overlook. Massive "haystack rocks" are visible with waves crashing against them. Whales are often spotted here too. It's proximity to hiking trails is also a huge plus. The only downside is it's popularity on a sunny Summer day.

National Seashore - Atlantic Ocean on Cape Cod - a fall tradition with our family, the crowds have disappeared and it's refreshing and relaxing!!

For relaxing a nice warm beach with a cool beverage in hand. Any secluded beach south of Key Largo and North of Key West.

Puerta Aventuras on the Mayan Riviera. The sand is cool on your feet, the coral reef is right before your eyes, and the water is as clear as you could ask for!

My favorite beach is Beach 6 on Presque Isle, on the State Park in Erie, Pennsylvania. Fresh, clean water, cool sand and a surf like the ocean.

the Outer Banks of North Carolina (OBX) is the best Beach...it is beautiful there. Loads of stuff to do and great resturants too. The best time to visit is when it's the off season. Very relaxing!! Can't wait to be there in a month

No doubt about it, our favorite hotel and beach is Best Western Castillo Del Sol Ormand Beach, Fl. The hotel is in a perfect location!!! All the employees are friendly and helpful.The beach is beautiful and the views from the rooms are breath taking. We go back again and again. I always come home happy and relaxed! It's near great places to eat and in a quiter section of the beach so it's more relaxing for my husband and I. If you want to party down this probably won't be your scene but if a quite and laid back vacation is what you are looking for then don't hesitate. GO!

The best beach is Miami's South Beach! The weather's always great and the people watching is extraordinary! Excellent restaurants and festivals. You are never far away from the action!! Whether you go to clubs or not, there is always something to do.

Okay if I had tp pick one beach it would be Daytona Beach, Fla. really fun place to go. But, there are truly many fabulous beaches it's all about the sun, sand, surf and friends. Make a memory go to the beach with family and friends.

The Skaha Lake Beach in Penticton, BC, in the Okanagan, is the best beach! When we lived in Penticton when our daughters were just starting school, I would take them to this beach to play in the sun, sand and water. This beach is great for the whole family, from toddlers to teenagers. The sand is great for bulilding Sand Castles, let alone all the water sports that are available here.

Crescent Beach is the best! which has great sand and rolling waves from the Atlantic Ocean. Crescent Beach is next to the city of St. Augustine. This makes vacationing at Crescent Beach very enjoyable - as beach during the day - or shopping at small nice shops - or shopping at the outlet mall.... Night life is great, as St Augustine has the San Sebastian winery with bands playing on almost all nights. One can sit leisurely outside, sipping wine & snacks, and listen/dance to the band.

Even the kids love this area, as it has much to offer families. St Augustine has Ripley's Believe It or Not, a huge Fort which is now managed by park rangers, alligator farm, lighthouse, plus tons of places to eat, drink, and be merry! Many miles of beaches are here!

Surf City, NJ which is on Long Beach Island - it is a nice private beach and very clean... Family oriented and in the evening a great place to fly kites! The houses that line the beach are beautiful and the sand is groomed every day.

Pensacola Beach, Florida is our favorite beach. We recently spent a week there celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. The delights of the island include beautiful white sand beaches with glorious views of the Gulf of Mexico. The local restaurants offer excellent fresh seafood, cold beverages, and live music to brighten any celebration. The local residents are friendly and warm offering a pleasant environment to relax and enjoy. This is an excellent environment for a couple or a family to escape. We look forward to a return visit.

It is a bit cooler than other popular beaches. Nestled on the edge of the Great Pacific Northwest Rainforest Ocean Shores is less crowded most of the year.
There is plenty to do there, Kite flying, Clam digging, (in season) lots of shops and a Casino nearby. And of course mid summer is the Harley Weekend when literally thousands of bikes and bikers ride in for fun and games.

The Emerald Coast of Florida are the best. The sand is a white as snow and super soft. The water is blue green and beautiful. Just sit and enjoy.

I recently stayed at the Best Western in Oceanside, California. I loved the beach there because you could walk forever...it is lined with palm trees, pretty houses, parks, and the longest wooden pier along coast. My BEST beach is Daytona Beach. I loved to go walking on the beach early in the morning with my coffe from the Auk Tiki Beast Western. It is just a very relaxing and beautiful area. I love driving the car on it also. Hope to be there in the SPRING!!!!

My best beach experience was in Carmel, California. The water was turquoise, the sand white, the beach uncrowded. The weather was warm & sunny but not unbearably hot. The landscape was dotted with rocks, moss and trees but there was plenty of smooth sand to walk, lay or play catch on. I saw seals swimming and laying on the beach. We stayed all day until sunset and it was magical!

The best beach is Grand Beach Manitoba. Is has the best sand anywhere.

Although I enjoy secluded beaches, my favorite beach remains Myrtle Beach, SC. You can't stay in the ocean 24 hours and there are so many places to eat, to see, and things to do.

The best beach just has to be the beach surrounding the Island of Aitutaki in the Pacific Cook Islands. Aitutaki is 145 miles north of the capital Rarotonga and is an island atoll.
The island is 45 km around the outer reef, the lagoon is huge... 6 km north to south and 8 km east to west. The average depth of the lagoon is 12 feet and is filled with brilliant coral and marine life. The beach and surrounding lagoon are absolute MAGIC any time of year!!!!

Many years ago we went to Antigua and stayed in a resort on Dickenson Bay Beach.

Perfect sand, perfect water, peaceful, romantic and not over crowded.

We have tried to get back there many times since, but have never quite managed it.

I LOVE Monterey Bay, and the Best Western is the only waterfront hotel there! It is my favorite summer getaway because it is cool (I live in Las Vegas!) and not overly crowded, since there are not other hotels and residences right there. It is my opportunity to "commune with nature" and the ocean in particular. Love it!

Fort Lauderdale Beach....the North End in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea on the Atlantic Ocean !!! Besides being near my Grandsons, this beach has the sugar-white sand without the crowds. There are restaurants and gift shops and a pier to walk on with the bluest water you've ever seen. Palm trees sway and peacefulness abounds. Plus they close off the streets on weekends and have street parties with food an music all within walking distance from your hotel/motel. I just love it !

My favourite beach is the beach at Maude Bay near Powell River, BC. The water is clear, the bay is calm and the fish, prawns and crabs are plentiful. On a hot summer day it is fun to go tubing for hours out in the middle of the bay. A short walk around the bay will bring you to another bay where you can see the most beautiful BC scenery and coastal mountain range. I could spend every weekend at our little place at the bay just relaxing. Wintertime is also beautiful and a great time to enjoy the oysters and clams.

One of the nicest beaches I have ever been to is Mavillette Beach in Nova Scotia.

I have been to a few beaches like in Hawaii and Mexico but I think the best beach that I have ever been to is in Austrailia on Morton Island. My sister and I had the privilege of going to her daughters wedding there. The sand on the beach is white as white, hot and so beautiful. My neice and her husband were married on the beach and it was the nicest ceremony I have ever been to. Would love to return!!!!

One of the most lovely beach that I have visited is at Brudenell, PEI. It has beautiful white sand and the further you walk along the beach from the parking area the fewer people you see. It has been many years since I have been there but I will always remember the sparkling water, long strech of empty beach an enjoying the solitude and the ocean. A very peaceful place to relax.

It's gotta be Long Beach on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Miles of smooth sand, lots of surfers to watch and when you get tired of that there's the Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet with some of the best vistas in the world.

My favorite beach is on Maui, we went to many beaches there and swam and snorkeled. They were all excellent.We really miss going there as we weren't able to go for holidays for 12 years, as I had to quit work. We really miss it, and would love to go again.

Long Beach near Tofino on Vancouver Island in British Columbia is inspirational in it's beauty and natural splendor. It makes the heart race in summer and all other seasons as well.

I have been to many beaches, but the one that sticks out in my mind is relatively close to home. It's the beach at Cape Disappointment State Park in Washington State. It's located right where the Columbia River meets the Pacific. There are two lighthouses, crashing waves and miles of beach to explore. The campground has spots that are within 30 feet of the beach, where people play volleyball or even catch migrating salmon in the fall. If you walk to the mouth of the river, you can see across to Oregon. There is so much to do and explore or you can just relax in the sunshine.

My favourite beach is on the island of St. John in the US Virgin Islands. Most of the island is a national park, and Trunk Bay beach is wonderful. Half the fun is getting there from St. Thomas with a boat ride and then an open air mini-bus over the mountains to the park. This beach is a wonderful educational place for novice snorkellers. The water is crystal clear and there are plaques on the bottom with pictures and descriptions of the many tropical fish, plants and marine life. The sand on the beach is brilliant white and as fine as powdered sugar. It is a requirement of the parks department to rinse off any sand from your feet before getting back on the bus. There are enough trees and shrubs there to give a bit of shade if you wish to lie on the beach. Light refreshments are available at a beach snack bar. This beach is a great place to go for anyone who likes something a bit different.

My favorite beach ever was the beach at Playa Del Carmen that I was at on a Caribbean Cruise with my sister in 2005. The water was aquamarine blue and the sand pure white. I will never forget it and dream of going back there!

Noordwijk AAn Zee, Holland has a terrific wide beach, complete with pony rides along the water, wooden cabanas you can rent,and all the surf your heart desires. Terrific for families! Only a short distance from Amsterdam.

I love the beach's on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Long Beach is one that is so awesome and breathtaking.

Mallorca Beach, Spain. Because the island is pretty intimate, the beach is beautiful and there are awesome deep water soloing spot near by.

Parksville on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The memories of the only time I ever saw my mother get in the water, it is so clear and warm and you can walk out to the islands a mile away during low tide. Truely a family paradise.

The best beach I have ever been on is Seven MIle Beach on Grand Cayman. I can't put into words how beautiful it is and it's expanse is like nothing I have seen before. You have to have been there to understand it's beauty being submerged in the warm water.

Bradenton Beach, Florida. White sand, beautiful warm water, and the sunsets are magnificant! Lots of public access to wonderful spots to watch those sunsets! When we were there in February, everyone just stopped and stared at the fading sun!

I love Moonstone Beach in Cambria, CA. Whenever life gets to be too much to handle, I make a reservation and head on over. It's a long drive but the anticipation builds along the way and by the time I get there, I'm like a kid going to Disneyland. I love to be at Moonstone Beach from the time I wake up until late into the night. Not only have I had the amazing sun and surf all day but then I get to lay on the warm sand and watch the stars come out. It is absolutely rejuvenating.

Any of the beaches of Greece. However, the black sand beach was the most outstanding. Mainly because it was so unique! Great memories of the country and the islands many years ago. The georgous Mediteranean Sea, sea life and so much more along the beaches of Greece. Truly an incredible beach, country and vacation destination. One that I would love for my husband to see someday...it's our dream! :) Awwww........

The best summer beach in my humble opinion is City Beach in Sand Point Idaho. Fantastic view of the nearby mountains and a short walk to great restaurants. Life does not get better than that!

The best summer beach is at Coronado Island by San Diego. The Hotel Del Coronado has spectacular views of the beach, the San Diego/Coronado Bay Bridge,the Point Loma Submarine Base, the Naval Air Station North Island, and the seal island. You can walk the beach and view all of these sights. Watch out as you walk though because you may run into navy pilots as they run the beach in their navy t-shirts and shorts. Great viewing for women.

Lands End Resort, Myrtle Beach, S.C. My wife and I have stayed here several years; never disappointed, weather always great, beach private, clean and protected. Centrally located to entertainment and restaurants. We have our beach chairs, umbrella, sunscreen, novels and cooler; what else does one need?

The best beach we have ever experienced is the entire Oregon coast, but if we had to single out one beach it would have to be” Cannon Beach” Oregon USA, captivating and mysterious.

Siesta Key, Florida is my favorite beach. The sand is so white, and beauiful and while walking in this sand it never feels burning hot since the sand is derived from quartz.l. To stay across the street from it is a joy in itself. From your balcony in the early A.M. you can watch as the beach is groomed and made ready for the day and as morning progreses you can watch as the parking lot to the public beach fills with all the cars of the people coming to enjoy the day.Sitting in the pavilion of the beach it is fun to watch the youngsters playing volleyball and flying kites, or building sandcastles. I just have so many found memories of this beach- on Suday at sunset you may watch a drum circle celebrating the end of the day.Or you might make friends with a man who sets up a telescope to look at the stars. And as you lay in bed with the balcony doors open you are lulled to sleep by the sounds of the waves coming in on the beach. It is heven on earth.

I love Barre de Potosi just outside of Zihuatanejo, Mexico. It is warm, calm and beautiful. The beach has many little restaurants with hammocks hung so you can relax after a swim, a wonderful lunch and a perfect day at the beach.

North Beach on Haida Gwaii. The sunsets, sunrises are stunning. The beach goes as far as the eye can see north and south while the ocean stretches to the west. Often in all that expanse no human creature is to be seen.

It has the white sand and miles of shorline. When the north winds blow,the waves are gigantic and could be surfed on . In summer the temps. reach into the 90's F and baking, tanning are a must.
I started going to Grand Beach when I was 5 years old and that was 65 years ago. Sure miss it.

In Santa Barbara, CA, you can go to the big, busy beaches but I've always enjoyed going to the Goleta beach. When I was a child, my cousins lived in Goleta and I enjoyed many summers on the Goleta beach playing on the sand and in the surf. I still remember picking up Grunyon fish and squid along the shores when there was a Grunyon fish run.

Most memorable beach ever was Dunn river falls in Ochios Rios, Jamaica...What a great honeymoon and gorgeous beach...I so wanna go back...Take me away:)

Myrtle Beach in South Carolina is great for families across generations. They have great shows, amusement areas, tons of miniature golf, great food, and an awesome beach front. Plenty to do for anyone, any age.

I haven't been to many beaches in my life, but I went to Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic while pregnant with my first baby, and I thought I was in absolute heaven!

My favourite beach is Harrison Hot Springs, BC on the shore of Harrison Lake. I love it because it is unbelievably clean with a fabulous view of snow-capped mountains and islands. The sandy beach is popular with people of all ages, and the hot springs pool is available nearby.

The beautiful white sugar sands of Siesta Key beach in Sarasota,Florida is the most beautiful beach in the world. It is perfect for walking and the sunsets are amazing. I moved here to Sarasota 25 years ago to be able to walk on Siesta Key beach and it's never disappointed. The sand is a special quartz that doesn't get hot to walk on.

My favorite beach is Myrtle Beach! It's an almost 18 hour drive from Michigan, but it is always worth the trip! The Best Western Grand Strand Inn is one of my favorite hotels - right on the ocean! Big, comfy beds and the rocking chairs on the balcony are the perfect place to end the day! Myrtle Beach has it all - great food, some real fun shopping venues, lots of putt-putt golf, entertaining show, shaggin' at Fat Harold's, cold beer down on Peaches Corner, and 60 miles of the best oceanfront beach I've ever seen!

In our 46 years together, my husband and I have always loved going to the beach more than anything else. We grew up in NJ and loved visiting the Jersey shore. We have traveled to Florida and all of the islands in Hawaii and each one is special. We have traveled to the Dominican Republic and the Panama Canal. The beaches at Half Moon Cay were wonderful. All of the beaches provide us with beautiful memories. Living on the central coast of CA, we walk the beach year round. BUT...the best beaches are in the Cook Islands. Rarotonga and Aitutaki have clean, quiet beaches with crystal clear waters - perfect for snorkeling. These atolls make it like swimming in a fish tank. But our favorite beach was a private island off of Rarotonga. We spent the day as the only 2 people on the entire island. Our footprints were the only ones on the island. What more could a person ask for?

the Best beach for me is right here in Ontario Canada, on Lake Huron. The sunsets are the most spectacular compared to sunsets in Hawaii. The water is beautiful and one can walk out 50ft still touching the bottom with your feet. The vastness of the beach on Lake Huron stems from Grand Bend, Ontario all the way to Goderich, Ontario.

The beach that is on the property of the Monterey Best Western Beach Resort Inn is one of the best beaches we've got to experience. It sits on the Monterey Bay and you merely walk from your room and within 50 -60 feet you are on a beautiful clean sandy beach with a beautiful view of Monterey. There are showers to rinse yourself prior to coming back into the hotel property. It is just an awesome place!

Our favorite beach is Poipu Beach on the south coast of Kaua'i, Hawaiian Islands. The beach is sheltered, not overrun by other vacationers, close to small towns.

West Bay Beach, Roatan Island, Honduras....turquoise water, amazing snorkelling right from the beach, sugar white sand and some of the nicest people anywhere....paradise!!!

My favorite beach visited is Nuevo Vallarta Mexico. You can dine, do ceramic art, water exercises, swimming, parasailing. Just a great place to see and relax as well.

Waikiki beach is my favourite. Classic sun, sand, surf and scenery. Weather is great anytime of the year. It is safe and you can drink the tap water, Also surrounded by lots of great things to do.

The best Beach is definately in Jamaica. That is where we were married and it is so romantic on the beach in Montego Bay. It is a lovely beach..the perfect spot for any couple to tie the knot.

My favorite beaches are Pismo Beach, CA and Avila Beach, CA. We live in the central valley of California where it gets HOT in the summer. These beaches are our lifesavers because it is always so much cooler there, and they are within 2-3 hours from us,an easy drive.

Either Sleeping Bear Dunes on the shores of Lake Michigan or Whitefish Point on Lake Superior.

Well, there's Shelikof on Kruzof Island in SE Alaska for beach combing, camping and being on the alert for bears, the glass beach in Port Townsend, Washington, for beachcombing for glass, Makena on Maui for sunning and walking and swimming, the beaches around Sequim and Port Angeles, Washington for hunting for agates and the beach at White Sulphur Hot Springs in SE Alaska for soaking and watching the ocean.

My favorite beach was 'my own private beach' on the little creekside on my father's property. I grew up winding my way through pine thickets, the soft blooms of dogwood and wild azeala to get to the little creek that trickled and burbled on the western boundary of the land my father called his own. The deed might have been held in adult hands, but that little spot was my birthright, in my chiild's mind it was my kingdom. It was created just for me to create great harbors for leaf boats, wait in hiding with warpaint to ambush wayward wagoners, to try out a little civil engineering (I never could hold a candle to the Beavers who in consequent summers turned a great swath of the forest bottom into a shadowy swamp), to laze in the haze and daze of summer. I have no idea how the sand got there - whether it was a geologic afterthought, or whether the pater familias had it trucked to make the 'swimmin' hole' a little more upscale some decades before it became my own personal Sherwood Forest. I don't know, but I loved baring my feet and monkeying my toes in the sand. Lying back, reading of adventures, faraway places under sunight filtered through the sweet gum and the oak. It was but a skimpy spit of sand, but it was enough to launch flotillas and rest after a good splashing around; it was my little Riveria, my Boxen, my idyll and my delight.
Where I played and robins lived and deer slaked their thirst, that tract of land is now a housing development, a product of greed and the swindling heart of a fifth wife. (When you have five, the ones toward the end tend to be hardened survivalists). I guess its true what they say, you can't look homeward, angel.

My favorite beach this year was Cocoa Beach, Florida. A group of family and friends was there for a pre-cruise stay. We all stayed at the Best Western Cocoa Beach Hotel and Suites. We all had a wonderful time and some of us plan to go back to just Cocoa Beach for next spring break and we don't plan to take a cruise. Of course we will book the Best Western Cocoa Beach Hotel and Suites again because of it's great location and hospitality!

i love old orchard beach,maine...as some call it oob. this is such a timeless place for all. i went there as a kid, now i take my kids and grandkids. there is so much to do and small enough that the kids can wander without parents and the parents can go play darts or something..and the amusement park is great. it has changed but still has a timeless beauty to it.

My favorite beach is in Pancake Bay Ontario. It is nestled along the shores of Lake Superior and showcases miles of white sand, and is probably one of the best places to sit and watch the sunset set across the waters of Superior. You can walk hand and hand with your spouse for miles along the shore line taking in the fresh smell of the whispering pine trees and the waters of Lake Superior, and enjoying the peace and quite of the surroundings. The sun can also make the sand hot but with the refreshing waters just a toe step away from you lounging chair, it is a refreshing way of cooling off in the cool waters of Superior. Aaahhhh Bliss!!!!

I did not go to a lot of places with beach, but for me, the best I saw at this time, is the beach at Varadero Cuba because you can walk and walk and walk on a beautiful sand with '' no banking '' side to the ocean.

Gulf Shores AL beach is the best beach in the US. Punta Cana in the Domician Republic is the best beach in the Caribbean.

Tarague Beach on island of Guam. Beautiful sandy beach surrounded with crystal clear warm waters surrounded with a reef.

The best beach is Santa Barbara California....waves are small so little kids can play in water safely and there is so much to do all around! Wharf, shops bikes, zoo, carousel, playground.

The best beach I ever swam at was at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Hawaii. The water was warm and clear, and you didn't have to wade out 2 miles before it got deep. The second best is Jones Beach on Long Island,NY.

I Love San Clemente Beach California. It is the most fun, peaceful and beautiful beach. The atmosphere is wonderful with the sound of the crashing waves, the Train tooting as it passes you right on the beach and of course all the wonderful cliffs to look out over all that great scenery

The most beautiful beach I have ever seen is, without a doubt, in Mexico at the Tulum ruins. The ruins sit on the edge of a cliff, overlooking the vibrant blue-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The view alone is enough to make you cry (I know I did). I walked down a small, steep, sandy trail to the beach and found myself in the most perfect spot I've ever seen. Surrounded on three sides by the cliff, you truly feel like you've just stepped into paradise and left the world behind. I didn't want to ever leave. And with the ruins above and behind you, there is an eerie, haunting feeling you get from thinking of all the history this spot holds.

The best beach is by East Boothbay harbor in Maine. The solitude, the sound of the waves crashing over the rocks and off in the distance, the sound of a lighthouse sounding its fog horn. It is so relaxing. We can sit there, with a glass of wine, a few snacks and think that life is great.

My family's favorite beach is Villano beach in St. Augustine, FL. The sand is mixed with tiny sea shells, and the water is clear and beautiful. Traffic is modest, as it is mostly a "local" attended beach, and there is no cost to park just off the beach in public parking. Long stretches of sand, beatuiful views.
We love Villano beach and recommend it to anyone visiting the St. Augustine area.

St. Pete's Beach in St. Petersburg Florida has the best beach. My family owns a time share and we have been going since 1980. Warm weather, warm waters, great snokeling and great fishing its all about making memories.

The best beach we love to go to is Kaanapali beach in Maui. It is a long white sandy beach and at the end of the beach is a great snorkel spot called, Black Rock. We love to walk on the beach, go snorkeling and watch the amazing sunsets. Kaanapali is our favorite beach!

Wildcat Beach at Point Reyes National Seashore... a 7 mile hike or ride to get there but beautiful beach with cliffs, sand and a waterfall.

Grand Turk! Soft white powder sand than never gets too hot to walk on and you can sink your toes into. Beautiful blue water as far as you can see, making a wonderful backdrop for photos and horseback riding on the beach.

They also have a Margaritaville with a fresh water pool, with wave rider right on the beach so you get the best of all worlds.

Been there on three different Carnival Cruise ships, can't wait to go back!

The best experience I have had is at Ross Lake in Haliburton, Ontario. The lake is clean and quiet. It is a peaceful experience.

One of my families favorite beaches is St. Simons Island, Georgia! It's beautiful, easy to get around, has plenty of shops and restaurants all around the water. Also very friendly people who live and run the shops and restaurants on the island.

The best beach is on Isla de Mujeres. An island of off Cancun, Mexico. The beach and water are absolutely perfect. It looks just like it came off one of the famous Corona commercials that you see on television. An absolutely beautiful spot!

Cocoa Beach, Florida. Beautiful sand...fun waves...but mostly because the time we spent together with our children was magical!

The best place to look out over the ocean or walk by the sea is at Rockport, Mass. It is so quiet, peaceful and majestic. You can see to Main and see to Cape Cod. It is truly beautiful and I would go there to sit on the outlook by the quary any day!

Sullivans Island and the Charleston SC area. Great beaches, great restaurants and bars, great area. I go there on business as well and it just seems like a little vacation instead of work.

Kiawah Island, SC is AMAZING! 10 miles of pristine beach with minimal beachfront buildings and long stretches of beautiful nature to enjoy.

Palm Beach along the "low-rise" hotel area of Aruba. The tropical beach has white sand and palm trees. You can walk at lease 1/4 mile off-shore and still have your head above the water line. This is a perfect family spot or romantic get away. Our family (including daughters ages 7 & 10 then), spent a beautiful November evening on this beach about 7 years ago while our cruise ship had a late call in Aruba. We enjoyed the tropical paradise until after sunset with the warm climate Aruba is known for. A nearby pier (small) rents boats/boards and sells food and cocktails to finish a perfect day in Aruba!

A very beautiful semi private beach in the Maine wilderness. First Debsconeag Lake, outside of Millinocket is tops. Crystal clear fresh water invites you to the numerous beaches at the tail end of the lake. A short trip down the Penobscot River, with its bark colored water from the logging days, past feeding moose along you your journey, brings you to the entrance of the lake. The small shallow entrance opens into a beautiful lake that is up to 150 feet deep. The numerous beaches are very private and offer no cell phone service or electrical connections. Bring some cold drinks, good food, and that special companion and enjoy the solitude of a beautiful Maine destination. Don't forget the fly spray and your camera.

Best beach ever was all the beaches on Moorea, South Polynesia across from Tahiti. My favorite being Tipaniers for the snorkeling.

My favorite beach which I have visited is Costa da Caparica in Portugal. It is not very touristy but the beach stretches for miles and you can see Cascais across the river and look out onto the Atlantic ocean. Small restaurants built right on the beach accomodate those with an appetite for local delicious fare. The fish is fresh, you can watch the boats come up to the beach and the fishermen take their nets with hundreds of fish and lay them on the beach and people line up with bins to take the fish home or to their restaurants. It's a wonderful place for those who want a quiet relaxed place to just lay out and soak up the sun. The waves are also excellent for surfing and other water activities.

One of the best beaches: on the whitewater rivers in Idaho on the Salmon River system. White sandy beaches, few people, beautiful scenery. Gorgeous!

Poipu on Kauai is the best beach for us. Warm water, great sand, easy access. In one day you can see Monk Seal, Sea Turtles, Whale and Dolphins. Not sure what else you would want in a beach.

Hands down the best beach ever will always be Walloon Lake in Petoskey, MI. OK so it's really more of a boat landing off Lake Grove Road. But it comes complete with a picnic area and a cement landing we call "the slip and slide". It even has a dock now. It starts out with some rocks but has a beautiful sandy bottom. Plus as it gets too deep too deep there is a large rock pile hand built by us local kids that still remains after 25 years. Oh how I miss those glorious days!

Our families favorite beach is Cardiff By The Sea. Every year when our kids were little we would head down to Cardiff for a week. This is where my kids learned to surf on my husbands Dewey Weber surf board (aka "The Green Pickle"). We would travel down to Pizza Port for my son's birthday, go for donuts or breakfast burritos in the am. We loved visiting all of the adorable shops in the area. But, the best part was just sitting on the beach watching the sun set.

The best beach I have seen from all over the world is the south side of Kauai. There is a state beach that offers all activities as well as being breathtakingly beautiful. The enormous sea turtles, amazing to watch, are nearby but not on the beach itself. One of the best restaurants in all of Hawaii is right at the beach and the beach is easy to reach from anywhere on the island.

When I was in high school in Brazil, summer was in January. School was closed for the month, and my friends and I went to a small island in the bay directly across from Santos, the city where the soccer star Pele played. The island was called Guaruja. At that time it was only accessible by ferry, though there is now a bridge and much, much more traffic. On the far end of the island, away from the tourist construction and tall condos with ocean views, was a beach with a lot of mica, silicates, and other sparklies in the sand, and tropical fish that seemed faintly luminescent in moonlight. After sunset on a bright moonlit night, the beach was magical. The sand underfoot and swirling in the tidal wavelets twinkled, and the tiny fish glowed in the water. We called it Twinkletoe Beach, a unique place in this world or any other, seeming near unreal in memory.

The best summer beach for me is the Waikki Beach on Oahu. It is so peaceful and almost like Heaven - I love looking at all the beautiful flowers and the ocean. There are so many fun things to do and lots of places to eat. I wish I could be there all time.

My favorite beach is now Siesta Key off Sarasota, FL. The powdery white sand is so soft to walk on and does not even get hot. We found a condo right on the beach and could not have asked for a more relaxing vacation. The beach is great for an early morning walk and then watching spectacular sunsets in the evening. I will definitely go back!

I have had the great joy of visiting beaches across the globe over these past thirty years or so. Of all the beaches I have enjoyed, I would land my first choice with Savannah Beach in Savannah, Georgia. Not only is the area steep in American history, but the beach itself leads you into some of the best memories you could want to build around a beach setting. The sands are magnificent, the water is awesome, the views are nothing short of breathtaking. And the people? The people of Savannah takes you back to the days of true Southern hospitality, the likes of what you only read about, and visualize, as you watch movies such as "Gone with the Wind." Take a trip there sometime, you will not be sorry that you did.

Nothing beats the beauty and serenity of a beach on one of the lakes or ponds in the Adirondack Park.

My favourite is Ko Olina on Oahu. Great place to sit, read, relax and snorkel. Such a peaceful place. And what can get more beautiful than the white sands of Hawaii.

Being born in Florida and lived here all my life, I have had the pleasure of visiting many of the wonderful beaches the state has to offer. This year while my husband and I were on a cruise, we went to St. Maarten and hung out all day at one of their beautiful beaches and I was just amazed how blue and clear the water was and how white and clean the sand was. The entire beach was litter free, picnic tables and bar-b-q pits were plentyful, it felt like you had the entire beach to yourselves (very large beach & no over crowding at all), a lot of island trees for shade and ambience, nice clean bathroom facilities & changing rooms, and great snokeling locations!

I have visited some beaches local and out of the state/country. I think I would have to say one of our beaches here in California. Cayucos would be my choice. It is a very quiet nice beach in a small community. Just to walk on the beach or in the small town is great. It is close by other beaches on the central coast.

Taba, Egypt is my favorite beach. It's incredibly peaceful and beautiful.
It has a stunning view of the Red Sea at the point where four countries meet: Egypt, Israel, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.

I live on Lake Michigan, and haven't been to many good beaches. I would have to say in the limited places I have vacationed, the best beach would have to be in Key West Flordia!! What more can I say, great weather and great water on the southern most tip of the contental United States!! Definatly a great place to vacation!!

Years ago before we had our first child my husband and I decided to go all out on a vacation. We chose the Virgin Islands. The prettiest, most pristine beach I experienced on that trip was the beach on Buck Island across from St. Croix. It is so small it isn't even inhabited but around Buck Island is an underground national park which is beautiful for snorkeling. We've traveled a bit since then and had wonderful beach vacations with our daughters in Destin, Florida which is my favorite family beach spot. But for a romantic and almost surreal experience, I would recommend the beautiful sand and clear water of Buck Island.

Our very favorite beach is Jekyll Island, Georgia. Our first trip there was an experience of watching baby sea turtles hatch. That, along with beautiful pale sand and blue water, made for a perfect vacation. Our next trip was quite different, but every bit as lovely. It was the same time of year, but the weather was stormy and wet. Our beautiful beach was still there and we were able to watch the digging up of a turtle nest to count unhatched eggs. It is just a magical, quiet island of hospitality and peacefulness.

My all time favorite beach is Short Sands in York Beach Maine. The water is very cold but the atmosphere and quaintness makes it so enjoyable. The water is so clear and its is a family fun beach. Old fashion Fun O Rama and bowling on the beach as well as world famous Goldenrod restaurants and salt water taffy.
Everyone should visit York beach Maine at least once. While ther make sure you visit Nubble Light at Sohier Park. Have lunch at Fox's Lobster or enjoy an icecream at Browns Ice Cream Shop.
Nubble Light is one of the most photographed lighthouses in the US.
Make sure you visit, you won;t be disappointed.

The best beach ever is Zuma Beach!!

Maho Beach in St. Maarten has got to be my favourite beach. Nice, warm water along with airplanes swooping low over our heads all day long. Perfect!

Anna Maria Island. No HIGHrises. The water is beautiful, the sand is excellent and it's a very relaxing and laid back area. It was so nice, in fact, my wife and I got married there and are going to begin looking for someplace to retire in the area even though retirement is a ways off. I almost hate mentioning the area because I'm not sure I want others to discover it, even though everyone should enjoy the peacefulness at least once, so this is my "do a nice thing for someone" thing. If you are reading this.....GO to the Island. You can thank me later

I think Winnipeg Beach is great for families. There is a ton of green space along the sandy beach with shade for those who prefer it. It is a quaint little town that offers super hospitality to all travellers.

The Bahamas! Especially Freeport, Grand Bahama because it is fairly easy to get to. The beaches just east of Lucaya, Freeport enjoy crystal clear waters with horizontal visability of 200 ft. and the temperatures are perfect. There is a great variety of colorful fish and with a local dive club you can experience even more such as feeding Grouper, Red Snapper, etc. The clean white sandy beaches stretch for miles and you can hardly tell where the waters end and the white sandy beaches begin. Spring and Fall are great times to experience all this.

Miracle Beach Vancouver Island. Lots of great beach parties there when I was a teen. Sand, rocks, drift wood, all kinds of sea life, camping, bar-b-que and swimming all available at this beach....tres fun!!

I prefer Astoria, Oregon... The area is so eclectic, and seems to always stay the same! Love it!

The best beach by far is Grand Anse in Grenada. I lived there for a year for school. The water is warm, calm and crystal blue. The sand on the beach is amazing. The beach is long and clean, ideal for long walks. There are a couple of watering holes along the beach, perfect for a cool refreshment or a snack and the vibe is chillin'!

The Ka'anapali Beach in Maui...so beautiful and romatic!

Shi Shi Beach on the Olympic Peninsula is the most pristine and beautiful beach I have ever seen. It is a 2 to 3 mile hike after going through the Macaw Indian Reservation, and it is 3 miles of seldom visited, beautiful, sandy beach at the north end of the Point of the Arches. It is worth the effort to get there.

Jervis Bay, New South Wales Australia. Beautiful white sand, deserted and with a wonderful view of Point Perpendicular!!

My favourite beach is at Waterton Lakes in southern Alberta. So many wonderful family memories originate there. As soon as we get close to the park, my soul and my heart find peace and comfort. I lose myself in the majesty of the forests and the mountains and in the seeming endlessness of the crystal clear COLD water. It is my little piece of heaven on earth.

We love Virginia Beach, VA. There is so much FREE entertainment on the streets during the summer and their boardwalk is just fabulous. We stay at the BW there and in the same suite EVERY summer for a week. LOVE it, just love it!

The white sandy beaches in Puerta Vallarta, Mexicol. They are very clean and not crowded. The weather there is pleasant and the water temperature is comfortable most of the time.

The sandy white beaches and clear blue-green waters at Destin, FL are absolutely gorgeous... not to mention all the fabulous restaurants, quant shops, fishing and dolphin cruise excursions, jet ski rentals and tons of other activities available to do so that the whole family can kick back and have a great time.

Trunk Bay, St, Johns in the US Virgin Islands. Absolutely beautiful, pristine and with an underwater snorkel trail that is absolutely gorgeous and suitable for anyone. Ferry or excursion from St. Thomas to St. John runs regularly and you can enjoy the beach all year round.

Tough call - San Diego or Huntington Beach for surfing, Maui or Caribbean for snorkeling.
But, my vote goes to 7-mile beach on Grant Cayman

My pick for the best beach is Rockaway Beach in Pacifica, CA. The ocean waves are huge there, the hillside scenery gorgeous, there's a great walking path nearby, plenty of restaurants and shops and a great hotel, the Best Western Lighthouse Hotel, the only hotel on the beach near San Francisco! You can't beat the combination at Rockaway Beach for back to nature enjoyment and comfort away from home.

My favorite beach is Victoria Beach in Cobourg, Ontario. The water is cold, the kids loved the waves!

I have two favorite beaches. The first I discovered many years ago.The beaches of New Zealand are incredible spreading for miles and miles...My most visited beach (39 times and counting) is Varadero Beach in Cuba..awesome! Likewise the beaches in Cuba are beautiful..

Kamaole Beach # 3 on the Hawaiian Island of Maui. It is a beautiful beach with an attached grassy park. It has beautiful sandy bottom and the water is warm.It is a safe beach with a lifeguard and yet it has nice waves to body surf which love to do. It is also lovely to look at.

We had the most fantastic time in St. Pete's Beach, FL. The sand was so soft and white, the water so warm and shallow that you could wade out forever and keep your head easily above water. You can walk down the beach and find anything you could need or want. . . I really need to get back there. . .

Panama City Beach, FL is the best!!!

The best beach in Florida is in Sarasota. It is Siesta Key. The sand is like flour.
It is not hot to walk on and the water is gorgeous. I try and visit there at least once a year.

My favorite beach is Virginia Beach, I love the laid back style, I love the sun coming down over the ocean and I love the memories. I grew up in Virginia beach, can still feel the heat on my feet as I ran across the hot sand to the cool water, can still see my dad, no longer with us, throwing us over his shoulder into the water, and being finally a strong enough swimmer to make it to the sand bar. Great place, great memories, coming home every time.

The best summer beach is along Vancouver's seawall at English Bay. An amazingly beautiful setting with great restaurants nearby so you can do takeout and sit down and enjoy the beach and people-watching! And don't forget setting up a great spot to watch the annual fireworks show!

COCOA BEACH IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACH IN THE WORLD.

The best beach I have been to is Second Beach, Forks, Washington. My sister and I went during low tide and were able to walk out on the beach after a lovely hike through the woods. We were greeted by these tall pillars of land just sitting on the beach or out in the ocean. Every rock and layer of earth up to eye level is covered in oysters, clams, muscles and star fish. Tidal pools are visible all over the beach, while massive logs line the coast having washed up. It's so quiet and peaceful out there and perfect for families, friends, and couples.

The best beach is Nagshead Beach, North Carolina in the winter. The peace cannot be beaten anywhere in the world.

Pasadena Beach in NL is a great beach, people flock there all summer to take advantage of the clean sand and beautiful vista.

I love Myrtle Beach. You are never closer to God than to be on the beach during the early morning or late evening with the wet sand under your feet and the sound of the waves bringing music to your ears. The vivid colors of the sky are a picture to be captured by our soul.

The best beach is Seaside, CA!

Kaanapali Beach on the Kahana side of Black Rock is wonderful. The sand does not get scorching hot, the water is warm, and deep within 15 feet of the shore, and very swim-able, and you are close enough - right on the other side of Black Rock - to some of the best restaurants, hotels and bars on Maui.

I have visited so many beautiful beaches but by far the nicest is Pensacola Beach in Pensacola , Florida.

I enjoy memories of Newport Beach in California, as we always visited every summer while visiting my grandparents in Garden Grove. Collecting Sea Shells, building sand castles, playing on the Jetty and the pier with a restaurant on it. Great Memories!

The Miami beaches! North Beach is gorgeous and quiet and South Beach has the best people watching in the world! People from all over the world are there-- I once was serenaded by Brazilian guitarists and a bagpipe player-- all at the same time!

The nicest beach with white sand that I have seen is in Varadero, Cuba. Looking forward to checking out another one of their resorts in the fall.

By far the best beach Ive been on is Negril Jamaica's 7 mile beach in Negril. Gorgeous.

Lincoln City, OR. Have been going there since I was a small child. Love the sandy beaches, fresh sea air & beautiful sunsets. And, of course, fresh local seafood.

The best beach i have been to is Gravel Lake, Saskatchewan, lots of smooth sand great for sandcastle building.

What we refer to as Ladybug Beach near Yachats, OR. It was covered in migrating ladybugs one March. It is breathtakingly beautiful by itself--pristine and wild--but add the ladybugs, and it was magical!

We absolutely are in love with Siesta Key in Sarasota, FL. Beautiful white sand that never gets hot. After playing on the beach, just a hop away from some of the best local eateries and bars around.

I have been to Cuba linda (beautiful) 5 times now, and have loved it EVERY time. The beach in Varadero is white, fine sand, and the waters are every shade of blue and green you can think of. The fact that there is very little American influence in Cuba, makes it seem like you have stepped back in time. People riding bicycles and carts pulled by horses. I love all of Cuba, but the beaches are especially nice in Varadero.

I have been to beaches all over the world. My personal favorite is Nags Head, NC. I enjoy it's white sand and it's lack of commercialization. I love to walk on hard sand and have walked for miles in North Carolina.

Hampton Beach, New Hampshire! Ran across it by accident a few years back. Never have seen anything like it again anywhere. Sunrise over the water and the beautiful clean sand is worth waking up early for. The town is like stepping back in time to the 1940's. Its a perfect total experience. Try it in September during the annual seafood festival!

my fave beach ever is south padre island texas because we can take the whole family with us and the beaches are beautiful and the water is clear and great and we got to see baby sea turtles released into the ocean!!!

Tybee Island is the best of both worlds: quiet small town beach and a fantastic, historical city just a short drive away. I have so many great memories with my family there. Definitely my favorite!

The best beach HAS to be Capistrano Beach, CA. I grew up going to that beach and have had the privilege to take my children there too. It's the best beach because it's given us so many great memories!

The beach in Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico is by far the most all-around rewarding beach experience ever --- first thing in the morning, you can have breakfast at one of the beachside cafes and view the peaceful Pacific blue water; or, throughout the day as the surf builds, you can boogie board, swim, surf, parasail, or go fishing with one of the Capitans offshore for Dorado, Pez Vela, or Roosters!

At Pattaya the water is different shades of blue starting from light blue to turquoise , acquamarine , azure blue and you can walk upto almost a kilometre into the sea and still be able to watch your toes wriggling in the sand!
Andamans got to be the most undisturbed .....You can walk in and if you stand still for sure you will see a school of fishes near you

It's not the prettiest beach by any means, but Galveston Beach- the west end, is the best place to make memories. My family has had a beach house there since 1960 and it's awesome, the air, the friends and the relaxation.

Oh, with out a doubt..it has to be beer can alley....near coquina beach in Florida! The most beautiful water...the whitest of beach sand I have ever seen. The beauty of the beach, the gulf, and the trees that fell over due to the horrible hurricanes a couple of years ago. That devastation is masked due to the thousands of sea shells that people have put on the roots of the trees...making it the most beautiful, memorable beach that I have Ever been to.

Best Beach in Canada!

Of all the beaches I have visited, I liked Naikoon Provincial Park (used to be called Queen Charlotte Islands but now Haida Gwaii). These extensive beaches face Hecate Strait on the British Columbia west coast. There are good agate pebbles to be found. Hiking is great and the remoteness is quite peaceful. The East Beach Trail is quite popular with hikers and goes for several kilometers at the base of cliffs eroded in old glacial deposits.

The beaches in Maui, Hawaii are the prettiest we've ever seen. Sit back and relax, and enjoy life as you watch the waves gently splashing upon the beach with the palm trees waving in the breeze. Best Western Pioneer Inn is located in Lahaina, Maui....how much better can life get!!! We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in Maui last year.

Key West!! those the beach is small and man made, key west is such a beautiful place. when the sun goes down, there is a festival every night. it's like being in a totally diffrent country.

St.Augustine, FL is my personal favorite.

My family's favorite summer beach is our manmade beach on the James River in North Dakota. My mother and father-in-law have a garden next to ours right along the river in our small town of 500. We had gravel, dirt and sand hauled in after cleaning up the shoreline to make a beach for our 4 kids and the other family children. They fish, swim and scavenge for river treasures after working in the garden tending to the vegetables. There almost isn't a day that goes by that they don't ask to go to the "river garden" so that they can work and play at the river. It is so peaceful and beautiful. Every July 4th we bring down our grills and have a big evening picnic then watch the fireworks at dusk. This is the beach our family enjoys the most!!

Waikiki Beach as the sun is going down, you are laying in the cool water as the sun is setting on the sea, it is a sight to behold. I stayed there 7 days and went everyday at Sunset just to see the reflections against the ocean and sit on the cool sand, watch the dolphins go by and the turtle pop their heads up. What a sight to see. If you have never been to Hawaii, go now, don't wait. You will not regret one moment of your trip.

Hardisty Lake, Alberta is the best beach because my family has been going there for generations. It is close and the beach has nice sand.

The best beach in ca. is the strand on Coranado Island right in front of the Hotel Del Coranado! White sand, great waves, cool drinks!

The best beach I've ever been to is Aloha state park in Cheboygan Michigan it has crystal clear water, volleyball, playground, party store, ice cream shop and grills all right their with a huge lawn. It is so relaxing and beautiful its on Mullet Lake. Anyone will love this beach.

I love the Myrtle Beach area. We stayed at the Best Western when we were in Myrtle Beach and they had the softest towels I have ever felt in my life. I even wrote down the name brand so I could look for them I loved them so much and of course now I can't find it. I love Myrtle Beach!

Orange Beach, AL: beautiful beach, family friendly, quiet, nice for small kids, & close to our home! Don't have to travel far to get there! Plenty to do, plenty places to eat & very nice places to stay! Very friendly local folks too!

I'm not sure it qualifies but the Radium Hot Springs is my favorite summer (and year round) place.......soaking in the hot springs and when you look up al you see are mountains - beautiful and relaxing!

Island Beach State Park, NJ you can drive right on the beach, camp out overnight, have a bon fire, bring your dog and just relax and have a great time.

If I had to pick, it would be without a doubt Waikiki Beach on the beautiful shores of Hawaii, I can feel the water as I relax and take in the beautiful scenery, Aloha!!

The best beach is Rattlesnake beach near Medicine Hat, Alberta. I just have so many great memories from that beach from when I was a kid. We used to go with my mom and a van full of friends it was great. It was a great place to go and walk and I'll never forget it.

We have travelled extensively in the Caribbean, and the BEST beach hands-down is at Providenciales in the Turks & Caicos islands. The diving is good, too - we not only saw sharks on every dive, but a small nurse shark swam right up on the beach. It was amazing!

I love Coki Beach on St. Thomas. The fish come right to you if you have a little bread. No need for goggles & snorkel. It's amazing.

I would have to say the best place I have been so far would be Shackleford Island. It is in North Carolina near The Outer Banks. It has a calm side for the younger kids and a rough side for the more experienced. It also has wild horses on the island to see and take some pictures of. It is a 5 mile long island and 3 miles wide so there is plenty of room for peace and quite unlike the public beaches. All and all it was a great experience and the family had a great time.

The best beach is located in South Padre Island because you receive the best of both U.S. culture and Mexico culture without leaving the states.

Kuaii, HI and the beach at Kapaa. It is friendly, quiet, beautiful, and all beaches on the Islands are open to the public. It's the best! Only a trifle better would be Molokai and the beach at Palaau State Park, only because it is more private!

I love to go to Seaside, OR. That is also my mom's favorite place too. My parents used to go there a lot before my dad's passing. So we frequent there quite often. They have a lot for the whole family to do. We also have a camping resort in the area too. But the bakery and ice cream places are the best. Go Zingers!!

We love the beach in Santa Barbara California. We were there on our honeymoon and will be there again April 2012 to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We like to stay at the East Beach and walk the beach to the wharf. Beautiful and so many wonderful memories.

I try to go to Gulf Shores, AL as often as I can (as often as my pocketbook allows). Great weather, great sand, no reminders of the BP oil spill and wonderful food and nice people! I couldn't ask for a better place to relax by the beautiful blue water of the Gulf and clean, white sands on the spacious beach. Wish I could retire here one day.

Seabrook Island, SC is the most wonderful beach I've experienced in this country.First of all it is a private island meaning no hotels or public entry. Property owners frequently will rent their homes so it is not totally exclusive. The beach is wide...wide...wide...and watching the dophin at low tide is amazing. You can walk along the shore so close to them that you hear their breathing. The island is a preserve for so many of the native animals and it is not surprising to see a Cogar. panther, alligator and families of deer on your walk or bike ride.

Seabrook also had great boating, kayking, shell hunting and of course crabbing. There is always an ocean breeze so on hot days it is still easy to spend a whole day (with umbrella and sunscreen) on the water and come home refreshed and engergized. I have been going ther for 30 years and even though I have been to many places in the Caribbean and in Europe......the BEST BEACH is SEABROOK ISLAND.

Sea Isle City, Atlantic Ocean, NJ - my great aunt used to take the family for a couple of weeks every summer. It's very family oriented, no alcohol, and close to Ocean City and the boardwalk and the rides, salt water taffy, Atlantic City not too far. What a great time!

I love the beaches along the California coast, especailly near Half Moon Bay, Pacifica, Santa Cruz and Monterey. My family and I go every year to relax and have fun jumping the waves, picking shells and making exciting things out of the sand. We love listening to the waves crashing and hope to see a seal wash up to shore.

Favorite Beach has to be Hanama Bay on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. Created by a collapsed Volcano, Hanama Bay has calm shallow waters with reefs and tropical fish that are easy for people to see whather they can swim or not. Modest swimmers can enjoy exploring channels and large sandy areas that vary in depth from 1-2 feet to about 10 feet, where some bigger fish and sea turtles can be seen. For more advanced swimmers, I like going out into deeper water through a channel in the reef for an inter-island phone cable. The colors of the coral are bright and unspoiled, unlike the coral in the shallows, which are mostly grey from people walking on and killing the coral. On a good day, the visibility of the water can exceed 100 feet.

Hanama Bay is like a giant swim through aquarium. If you go, I recommend you arrive around 7:00am. By 10:00am, the beach and the waters are very crowded with all the other tourist who want to enjoy the fish.

This is the ocean, and you should remember that the ocean can be dangerous if you do not pay attention to what you are doing.

I love the playa concha located south of Empalme, Sonora off of Mexican Highway 15. Deserted with lots of shells. Found when vacationing in San Carlos, north of Guaymas, Sonora.

Topsail Beach, NC is easily our favorite. It is like taking a step back in time. Except for a few blocks where there are acouple of restaurants and beach stores, there is little on the island except beach and homes. You are forced to do nothing! The sound of the Atlantic Ocen surf, coupled with beautiful sunrises makes it complete. This is stellar in terms of relaxation.

Fairhaven Beach, NY. state park camping, can walk or bike to beach for your camp site. The best place to watch a sunset.

My favorite beach is Daytona Beach in Florida. I go there at least once a year and feel like it is a second home away from home. I love the relaxed laid back feel there. It always seems to be sunny and warm too.

i'd have to say that my alltime fave beach is always Lani Kai in Hawaii on Oahu,just up the windward side of the coast on you're way to the famous North Shore,where all the incredible surfing goes on.Lani Kai is so perfect,gentle ocean,gorgeous views,easy access and great facilities!

Oh so many to choose from, but its a toss-up between The Florida Keys, Siesta Key Florida and Disney's Private Island Castaway Cay.Those are my favorite and I have visited many in many different places/states...............These three are the best!!!

Through the years we have vacationed at numerous beaches throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. Myrtle Beach, Cherry Grove, Ocean Isle, Hilton Head, Atlantic Beach and Florida to name a few. Each had it's own special attractions that made it nice for family vacations. Eleven years ago my husband and I went on a Carnival Cruise " The Fantasy" to the Bahamas. We took one of the shore excursions and spent the day in Nassau. After a short tour, we arrived at the beach. It was breathtaking with it's soft white sand, coconut palms and crystal clear water. We sit on the beach for awhile, played in the water for awhile and rode in paddle boats where the water was so clear it looked like you could step off the boat and touch the bottom only it was much deeper than it appeared. At the day we had a feast onboard a sunken ship before returning to the Fantacy. They are memories I hold close to my heart today. And the memories are what makes it the best beach ever...

Dauphin Island, AL-Beautiful beaches, great people, lovely restaurants-Great for the entire family. The water is beautiful, white sand and a breeze that cools the summer heat.

My favorite beach is myrtle beach i have family down there,its always nice to combine vacations with family and friends,and good food.

Cozumel was beautiful, with snorkeling and para-sailing, along with the usual sunbathing and swimming. Got there by cruise, which made it even more outstanding!

Placencia, Belize. The beautiful, white, powdery sand runs for miles up the coast line with gentle breezes, great restaurants, bars, kiosks, dive shops and loving, smiling, friendly people. A must go to once in your life.

Best beach is Medano Beach in Cabo San Lucas. The weather is great , water warm and the people are friendly.

My favorite beach is Flamenco at Culebra Island in Puerto Rico in the Caribbean. Flamenco has clear blue waters and white sand. You can particpate in any type of water sports, have fun with friends and enjoy with your significant other. The nights at Flamenco Beach are romantic and magic because of the sky full of stars, the sounds of the waves and the fresh breeze.... Beautiful.

Myrtle Beach S. C. is fantastic! This will be my third trip this year. We are actually considering moving to the area. The beach is great, the sites are fabulous, the outside dining and restaurants is wonderful. Just being on the beach or sitting on the boardwalk, there is so much to see.

Although I lived in Florida for almost 20 years and visited beaches from the pan handle to the Florida Keys, my favorite beach is Poipu Beach in Kauai, Hawaii. The water is a beautiful mix of blues and greens and it is so clear that you can see the fish swimming by. It has been over 15 years since I have been to Poipu Beach, but I remember it as if it were yesterday. I hope that I can return there some day and that it is as breath taking as it was many years ago!

You cannot beat the views of the snow-capped Sawtooth Mountains from the beach on the crystal clear water of Redfish Lake in Central Idaho. The reflection of the Sawtooths on the water just after sunrise = jaw dropping!

Myrtle Beach, Sc. My parents rent a condo for the month of March every year. We visit for 1 week and it is the best vaction we have, my kids look forward to it every year. We enjoy looking for shells and collecting them for friends. This year we found a crab. The kids enjoy the waves even though the water is quite cold in March, but the make sure they take their boogie boards and have great time in the waves. It is a family beach for us.

My favorite beach is on the Greek Isle, Aegina. The clear water with the fishing boats near-by is an awesome view. The water is cool, but not cold. The surrounding vistas are phenomenal; plus, across the roadway is terrific shopping, eateries, and gorgeous Greek Orthodox churches to have a quiet moment in.

My favorite beach is South Daytona Shores in Volusia County, Florida. The sand is pretty flat. At low tide, little pools form with swimming minnows. There is always a breeze. There is a restaurant on a fishing pier there called Sun Glow Pier. You can sit suspended out over the ocean, enjoying the green-blue sky and lazy ocean while sipping iced tea. Enjoy a fish reuben sandwich, too.

The American Riviera of South Beach Miami is all I need to clear my soul. Beautiful to my eye's, soft to the touch , the taste's and aroma of the tropical food make me content .. I could dance the night away and wake to feel the ocean breeze . I love it !!

Definitely the best beach would be Kihei Beach in Maui, Hawaii! Everything from soft sand and volcanic rocks to grassy/floral areas... absolutely the friendliest, laid back locals- you can go, relax & have no worries about anyone bothering you... My favorite place on earth!

As life passes us by so quickly, it is important to find time and a location that sets us on our heels and causes us to say awww! This place for us is Clearwater, Fl. The beaches our clean, clear and you can find the quaint hideaways in several locations there. We all lead fast stressful lives and we try to go there as often as we can manage to chill out and to relax and reconnect with each other.

I haven't been to many beaches, but my favorite beach is in San Diego, CA!

Wow, there are so many wonderful beaches with wonderful memories to choose from, but I would have to say that the nicest beach I have ever been to is Kata Beach on Phuket Island, Thailand. The water is calm and soothing with very soft white sand. Wonderful!

Most favorable beach for my husband and I , Atlantic City, very beautiful beach.. I love the boardwalk there , so many things to do, and so many concession stands with lots of food. I love how they have the carnival out on a pier on the ocean, and their mall out on the water as well. They have nice resturants on the beach, with a beautiful scene looking at the sandy beach and the beautiful water! and the Casinos right there in reach for a little gamble action. lots of shops to shop at. the nightlife is wonderful.. we were there July 4th so we got to see the awesome fireworks on the beach!!! We love to go there , such a great beach! so relaxing and enjoying all the wonderful things they offer there....

my favorite beach is cancun on carribean side. i lived there for little while when i was younger and any time i had a problem. those pretty blue waters could always wash them away. and loved how you never had to wear sandals cause the sand didnt get hot.

My favorite beach to visit is in Half Moon Bay, Ca. The beaches are spottless and the views are breathtaking! You can sit and watch the seals and dolphins play and sometimes even spot a whale! It"s the perfect destination for a fun time with your family!!!

While I've visited many beaches, I will always believe the white sands between Destin and Panama City Beach Florida are the best. Not only is the sand as white as sugar, the water looks as clear as if it were in a glass - magical blue and green colors as far as the eye can see. My memories are filled with family, friends and even my own children swimming in the clear waters, tanning on the soft, clean beach; clearly making the location even more special.

Progress encroached on our Florida paradise and my family had to sell the old home we loved so when we were growing up. Times will never be like they were in the 60's and 70's (my parents would say the same about their time in the 40's and 50's!, and their parents, too even earlier!), but having spent wonderful times here make the memories of these beautiful beaches engrained forever.

The best beach is Nags Head, North Carolina. It's a short drive from my house and I can get in the car anytime I want to find peace and quiet. I stay right on the beach, and there is so much to see and do in the Outer Banks, one never gets bored. It is not too crowded and the restaurants are excellent with great prices.

Negril Jamaica has the best beach in the world! 7 miles of beautiful white sand beach. The beautiful Carrabiean Sea is the perfect backdrop for the perfect beach.

No streets, no stores, no hussle n bussel. Nothing but private beaches crystal clear water and relaxation.

Last fall a friend and I went to Sullivan's Island, SC. It was in the evening and we walked on the beach. We saw dolphins swimming in the ocean and the sunset was amazing. It was quiet and very romantic. We walked around Fort Moultrie before calling it a day. That has been the best trip to the beach in my life. I'll never forget that trip!

I am fortunate to live in CA. The beaches are beautiful! My favorite is Half Moon Bay. It is very peaceful and serene there.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, near the Coral Resort Hotel is the best beach for me and my husband! It doesn't have any rip tides. It is midway between two piers, so you can walk, walk, walk on the beach in the morning and evening. The water is warm and the waves are only about two to three feet high so it is fun to swim. If you stay on other parts of Myrtle Beach there are rip tides and dangerous currents. We have stayed in the Myrthle Beach other at least three times and the best beach is right near the Coral Resort.

I have 2 favourite beaches - one local and one not.
My favourite local beach is at Silent Lake Provincial Park near Bancroft, Ontario. The lake is pristine, spring fed and there are NO motors allowed on the lake so it is great for swimming out as far as you can. The beach is sandy - great for kids wanting to build sand castles - and so is the lake bottom. I go there almost everyday in the summer.
I went to Bermuda many years ago and the beaches there were fantastic. I wish I could remember the name of one place we went, it was a small cove the had little caves in the rock surrounding the cove it was so beautiful. Some day I would love to visit Bermuda again to see if I can find that beach again .... yes, someday .....

Kaanapali Beach in Maui. It is beautiful and goes on forever and has fabulous swimming.

Sunset Beach in Oahu, Hawaii....My daughter got married there at sunset....SO beautiful!!!!!

La Jolla, CA is the best! Not too far from San Diego Best Western! Enjoy the beach during the day and San Diego nite life at night---now that's real livin'!!

My favorite beach is St Croix in the Virgin Islands. Off the beaten path of St Thomas, it has breath taking beaches and makes you feel at peace with the world.

My family and I visited Siesta Key Beach, Siesta Key, FL this Summer and we were very impressed. Even though it was cloudy that day, the water was still very clear. The sand was incredibly white and light to the touch.

In Ontario - The best place to go for a beautiful beach and fantastic Sunsets is Sauble Beach. off Lake Huron, near Southhampton.
The beautiful soft white sands go on forever and the fresh water lake makes for a great swim, or play. All those that come, have a great relaxing time... sharing the beach or all that the town has to offer the visitors.
Stay for a few days, - or just play for a day - You'll love it and want to keep coming back to make more memories.

This summer beach is just as beautiful in any season. Seven mile beach in the Grand Cayman!!! The sand is like fine white sugar and the aqua water is crystal clear!! The perfect beach destination!

In Victoria BC I love Durrance lake. It is small, surrounded by forest, quiet and serene. Theres Not a lot of land to lay on but tons of space for swimming which makes it one of the less populated ones. The clearest water you will find from the main beaches.

Waikiki Beach in June, July or August - lots of great sun and not as crowded as in the winter months. Beautiful tourquoise waters and just the right waves for floating on and/or surfing.

Ke'e Beach at Ha'ena State Park, Kauai, Hawaii. One of the most gorgeous spots on my favorite Hawaiian Island, Kauai. It looks and feels like Hawaii did many years ago, and definitely away from the hustle and bustle. Yet it is perfectly accessible since it's at the end of the road in North Kauai.

My favorite beach visited was heart lake in haliburton Ontario. It's a man made crystal blue lake and it's absolutely beautiful with a heart shaped rock in the middle of it. Gorgeous and definitely worth returning over and over too!! Highly recommended.

My favorite beach is Garden City Beach at Garden City, South Carolina. This is a family beach and not so commerical and very relaxing. The food in the area is wonderful. I just love the beach.

I love Reoboth Beach in Delaware. But I will take any beach at all!

The beaches in Bandon, Oregon the southern coast of Oregon. The sky is bright red at sunset with hues of green, blue, orange and yellow, The low tides allow you to walk forever out into the seafloor to view anomes and starfish. Agates and seaglass everywhere and the ocean can be heard miles inland. I miss it and the beautiful daughter who stayed.

Any of the beaches on St. John. Most are completely secluded and you have them to yourself. Beautiful and quiet with nice snorkeling!

If you've never been to La Concha in San Sebastian (Spain) you've missed what must be the most beautiful beach in the world.

I would have to say the best summer beach would be Playa Conchel in Guancaste, Costa Rica. It is semi horseshoe in shape with the whitest sand and turqouise watrer with a lot of little sand areas to enjoy in seclusion. Although our summer is their rainy season so I'd recommend Nov - April for a warm summer day

Bucerias, Mexico. WOW and WOW. Endless beautiful sand/sun and view of ocean in any direction. Seems like endless walking along the Ocean. Banderas Bay is just the place to be, period. Watch dolphins and whales from shore, where else? Climate is the same every day, just perfect.

My fave beach is the Outer Banks of NC. Best place to go and relax and not have to worry about a crowded beach. Even in the middle of the summer.

The North Carolina beaches are the best! Each beach that I have visited is the amazing and a worthwhile adventure! Holden Beach, North Carolina for its secluded adventure on an island, which is much like Ocracroke Island, North Carolina - an island only several miles long with a small village and amazing locals! The Outter Banks of North Carolina have all the private beaches and the public accesses too. The ocean, the smell of salt air and the relaxing sound of the waves...BEST WESTERN - you must be tripping if you do not send me away to my favorite place to be - THE BEACH!

The best beach is hidden on the backside of Maui's Haleakala where the crowds don't go because the road is closed and you have to walk a bit to get there. Hope you never find this beach because that would mean too many people are finding out how great the waves & seclusion really are!

My family LOVED Big Beach on Maui. It has something for everyone: my husband and teen-aged kids loved boogie boarding in the big waves at one end of the looong beach, my younger nephew loved playing in the soft sand and milder waves of the middle section of the beach, and my sister and I loved being able to lay in the sand and work on our tans while watching everyone else!

Our best family vacation yet was our trip to Daytona Beach, Fl. We had the best time of our lives d the kid absolutely loved it. We enjoyed everything in the area and highly recommend the Best Western Aku Tiki. Affordable, great location, great price and overall excellent service and experience.

St. Malo Beach in Manitoba. It is a beautiful man made beach and very accessible. Love the sandy beach and nice clear water on a hot summer day.

The best beach by far is Polihale Beach on west coast of Kauai, Hawaii. The beach is 15 miles long, up to 300 feet wide and has active sand dunes up to 60 feet high. The fine sand is soft, clean and hot. The beach is great for swimming, surfing, wind surfing in crystal clear aqua blue water and is renowned for the most fantastic sunsets. Being remote away from resorts, the best feature of this beach is that it is not inundated by fast food/drink concessions and not flooded by sun-screen-greased sun tanning tourists.

Pensacola, Florida has the whitest beaches and access to the sound and different bays. It also provides a Best Western! I lived there for 12 years in the 70-80s. The beaches are just beautiful. I took my now 32 year old son to the beach several times a week. He learned to swim when he was 6 months old and loved the water! In addition to the beautiful white beaches, there are shops and dining locations that are super! I have not been back since 2002 when my mother died but I have 3 brothers there and a sister. They love it so much that they never left after they arrived in l974! BEST BEACH IN AMERICA!

The best beach summer getaway stay is at Pismo Beach,Ca. My wife and I spent our 26th weddings anniversary there in May of this year. We stayed at The Cliffs Resort in Pismo Beach. It was the best place we have ever stayed at and the staff was terrific and the room with the view was unbelivable.

The weather was perfect and we visted the Beach at Pismo and also Avila Beach.

Myrtle Beach, stayed at the Landmark Inn, got a room facing the ocean. We played golf, swam in the many pools and just had a ball. Wish we could have stayed longer than 3 nights!

This past June I visited the Big Island of Hawaii. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. By far my favorite beach was a place known as "The 69's" to the locals. With soft, clean, white sand and palm trees overhead, it was the most secluded place on the entire Island. Definitely one of Hawaii's best kept secrets. It isn't a tourist trap like Waikiki, and there were less then 20 people spread along the entire beach. It felt like we were the only people there. The palm trees created your own oasis, blocking you off from everyone else. Sitting underneath the shade we listed to locals strum their ukeleles, as the waves crashed along the shore. Truly an experience not found anywhere else.

My favorite beach is Nauset Beach on Cape Cod, where my grandmother always used to take me when I was a little kid. Fond memories, and really instilled in me my extreme love for the sea!

My favorite "Wow" beach is at Seaside, Oregon. Several miles of pounding surf all year round allow for lots of walking, swimming, sunbathing, games and just hanging out. Even walking there in the winter is great! We stay at the Best Western Ocean View Resort, which overlooks the whole beach as far as you can see, which is a long way.

For me, the best summer beach is in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. As a child, we took our family vacation there. I continued the tradition with my kids , and we go there every summer even though they are now teenagers. They both love it there, and so do my husband and I. It's very peaceful hearing the waves hit the beach, and watching the sunrise in the morning, and the sunset in the evening. It's a great vacation spot.

My favorite beach is Myrtle Beach. I love the beautiful sunrises and the clean beach. They have the best of the Best Western Hotel in the USA.

Folly Beach SC is the best beach! On the north end of the island the county park beach is totally undeveloped. Wonderful view of the Morris Island Lighthouse and the Sullivan Island lighthouse is also visible in the distance.

My favorite beach is Pismo Beach in California. It has everything you could ask for. There is the sand that is clean with not too much washed up seaweed. You walk along the waters edge until the ocean starts to meet with the cliffs and it is an amazing sight. There are some rocks that you can climb, others that are so straight that you couldnt possibly and there are large boulders on which to take great vacation photos. The colors of the rocks themselves are pretty beautiful themselves. They range form a pure white to a marbeled orange and tan to hunter green. Last but certainly not least is when you walk back in the opposite direction you can take in the most amazing sunset on the long pier. After the sun has gone down you can see the lights of the town reflecting on the water and it is beautiful. And you can always do some fishing off of the pier. I absolutely love Pismo Beach.

Juno Beach , Florida. Great Pier, Sea Turtles chose it as their nesting site, Maine life Center with great picnic area just across the street. Clean, great sunrises, large enough waves to bring windsurfers out, free parking and plenty of it, and if you are lucky the dolphins might decide to show themselves. Sea Oats and Sea Grapes add to the beauty. Palms line the roadway and briny breezes rustly their fronds.

Key West. Where else can you be at the 0 mile and put your foot in two bodies of water at the same time? Lovely beaches and town - and a great ride to get there!

Panama City Beach, Florida..... Sand is white and beautiful.... Soothing sunrises and sunsets.... many nice restaurants in the area and lots of attractions in area and the natives are fiendly.... especially during spring break....

My favorite beach is Flamenco Beach on the island of Culebra off the coast of Puerto Rico. Beautiful white sand, turquoise clear water, teeming reefs you can wade to...what more could you ask for?

Myrtle Beach south carolina is the best. The ocean is warm and the waves are great for body surfing and skim boarding. 4 of us went as a family and had a blast. The kids were never bored and the new boradwalk was within walking distance or trolley ride. The beach was clean and lifeguards are on duty till 5:00p.m. so you always felt safe.

our favorite beach in the world is megan' bay in st. thomas virgin islands. it is impecable with it's beautiful white sand beach, little coves, & shady trees. the water is so pristine that you can see the bottom with the naked eye at 80 ft. deep. it is truly a magical place!

I would have to say it is Hunnington Beach, Calif. for its beautiful beaches and crystal clear blue waters and a wonderful backdrop view to soak in!

I grew up in Southern California so I love the O.C. beaches, but my absolute favorite beach is the north shore in Hawaii.

The beach I like the best is Rissers Beach in Lunenburg County, on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. The waves and sand are spectular. There are change rooms, showers, and a great outdoor canteen with the best ice-cream you ever tasted after a day in the sun. Along side this beach is a wonderful campground where you can spend days or weeks enjoying sun, surf and campfires. Also adjacent is a boardwalk that takes you out into the seaside marsh area. One can usually see some wind surfers doing their thing also. Lots of parking on the other side of the road in a huge parking lot with access to the beach thru a short tunnel under the road. Even the short walk to the beach is restful and enjoyable with a picnic area outside the canteen to set and rest in the shade. And did I mention that the sand is white and beautiful....and the surf is great fun to just let wash your cares away. I'm lucky to live only appx. 1/2 hour away. There are numerous white sand beaches on the South Shore and really each one offers a great sea view and clean, cool breezes. Come and enjoy...

Rissers Beach in Beautiful Lunenburg County on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. A great ocean beach with white sand and cool sea breezes. Also has change rooms, showers and toilets and a canteen and picnic area. A campground is adjacent for nightly or weekly camping.

The absolute best summer beach to visit is Folly Beach in Charleston SC. Its gorgeous and not overwhelming. Its pure beauty!

Corrola,NC on the ocean was beautiful with wild horse tours on the beach and unspeakable sun rises from the patio..Waves were great for boggie boarding Sand was warm on your feet while walks at sunset were unbelieveable. =) the sound of the waves were calming. Lightnight storm even were awesome watching them from the patio as the lightning lit the whole sky and I could see the shore line I reccomened the location =)

For myself, it would be Emerald bay in St Thomas. The beauty of swimming out into the bay and stop on one of it's many little 10 X 15 spred of sand with only a Pelican floating in the water to keep you company, admiring the patrons and families on the beach from afar and the homes nestled in the cliffs along the bay. Your very own personal oasis until reality kicks in and you swim back to shore.

I've only been to a few beaches, but i live in Coos Bay, Oregon. On my honeymoon we went to the Bahamas. The water was beautiful and warm and so nice to play and swim in and just relax. We were on the Island that Gilligans Island was filmed on. It was great, the colors were magnificent.

I absolutely loved the soft sandy beaches of Kaanapali in Maui! The palm trees and ocean were so beautiful and i loved the warm tropical breeze. The smell of flowers was amazing.

I would have to say that the best beach is Waikiki in Oahu, Hawaii. The temperature of the ocean is always PERFECT and the water is always a clear blue color. It is absolutely beautiful! Not to mention the sea turtles sometimes come in closer to shore and you can swim with them.
The ocean water is perfect for swimming AND just a little further out the waves are ideal for surfing.

Pensacola beach florida. It has beautiful white sand, clear water, and lots of restaurants, hotels, and beach bars all within walking distance of the main public beach. You can catch live bands and at the right of the year, see the Blue Angels fly with their aerial acrabatics!

The best beach I have had the pleasure of running between my toes is the Red Frog beach off of Panama. Its a "resort" just starting to grow with beautiful new $500k villas and the most clear beautiful coral I have ever seen. The only thing on this island is the resort, as well as a hostel for any travelers who would like to enjoy this one of a kind beach for a more inexpensive price. This place is not well known yet, due to it just starting up, but it has been rated as one of the top 10 beaches in the World. If anyone ever gets the opportunity to go to Panama, you do not want to miss this island, it is sure to leave you wanting more.

The best beach that I enjoyed was Ipenema Beach in Rio de Janeiro. The white, soft, fluffy, warm sand between your toes is unbelievable! The scenery is amazing, both physically and people-wise. When you are on the beach, you can shop with the travelling vendors, eat or drink. Taking a swim in the warm Atlantic is lovely and just playing in the waves is fun. Hot weather, hot music and hot people. It has everything that a traveller could want when in Brazil.

I've always treasured time spent at Pawley's Island, S.C. as my best beach time. The beaches there, northward to Myrtle, and southward to Litchfield and Murrell's Inlet, are a creamy color, guarded by beautiful dunes resplendent with Sea Oats, and washed with a sea that ranges from clear to greens and blues, dependent on the underlying structure. The locals are real people, who share a culture steeped in Low-Country tradition and folklore and who come from a wide range of social strata. When you cross the bridge to Pawley's from Hwy 17, turn your watch back 50 years...and relax. It's all going to be smooth and peaceful...which is why you vacation in the first place.

The best beach that i have ever been on was in ST. THOMAS , my girlfriend and i was there 15yrs. ago on our cruise dock there. I have seen the clear blue water and white sandy beaches on tv . but when i planted my feet in the white soft hot sand and saw the clear blue water i thought i was in heaven ! when we enter the water u could see the fish swimming around u . We also had wonderful person bring over cold drinks and making us feel very imporant ! Its one beach i would love to see again.

Since I have only been to one beach it would have to be South Padre Island. Very nice, especially economically and imagine since it's not one ot the Island's that come to mind when thinking of going to a coast, you get a small town ole' time Beach Boys Atmoshpere, I'm not a surfer, just a water lover, I'm in OZ so it is a definate place of relaxation and the$250.00 would almost pay for my gas there!!!!!

New Brighton Beach in Capitola California. Been going there all my life. There is a campground high above the beach on the cliff for overnight stays. The beach is covered with families enjoying the mild surf, and taking long walks down the beach to the Cement Ship at Seacliff Beach. The sealions and dolphins play very close to the shore for extra excitement for people who love to watch for ocean life. My son who is now 14 has been going all his life and my father who is 68 has been going all his life as well. The is a beach that generations of families have been enjoying which makes if special. As a bonus we discovered a few years back a Best Western (Aptos) only a mile away and have stayed there many times. They have an amazing breakfast, great rooms, a nice pool, beautiful gardens with Koi fish, and withing walking distance to Sea Cliff beach!

Tribune Bay, Hornby Island, BC. Not only warm water, sandy shores and magnificent scenery, but the charm and beauty of this island paradise offers summer visitors so much for families to enjoy.

Believe it or not, I like the one in Seaside, OR. On a good day its absolutly beautiful. There is also a trail, Tillimook Trail Head, you can hike, its absolutly stuning, you see the beach the whole way :)

The best beach that I have been to is Sable beach in Ontario. There is lots to do, fun for everyone, and the dunes are amazing. It's the longest beach in Ontario. Beautiful!

The most gorgeous beach I have been to is Grace Bay in the Turks and Caicos. It has pristine white sand and miles of it. Plenty of shells to be collected and many restaurants to pick from.

The best beach ever is at Little Creek Cove at Newport, Oregon. Our family went there every summer for years when our children were small. It is very family friendly & there is miles and miles of beach to walk. The kids always loved playing in the sand. We went back numerous times after the kids were grown. Many happy memories linger on........

On the North Shore of the Island of Oahu. Thats is definatly where the best beach is :) There are Giant rocks that you can jump off into the Ocean where large sea turtles are swimming. And just at the end of the beach where noone else is, there is a huge cave half underwater with waves crashing in on it SUPER COOL!

I think Gulf Shores Alabama is a perfect beach with crystal clear blue water. Even though I live less than 3 miles from Folly Beach South Carolina, I really like the white sand beaches and clear water to swim in, instead of the murky water we end up with along the Atlantic Ocean. Plus, there is A Best Western right on the beach in Gulf Shores Alabama.

Anywhere in the Caribbean is beautiful beaches. Got married in St. Croix 14 years ago and would love to go back.

My favorite beach is Virginia Beach because its a clean beach and it has a Best Western Plus on the beach with all oceanfront rooms. When traveling I like to stay at Best Westerns because it is a popular chain and I can expect it to be clean and neat. I haven't been able to afford a vacation in 5 years

My favorite beach is in Folonica, Italy. It is so warm, sandy and perfect for swimming. All along the beach there are beach houses and great little restaurants where youcan enjoy a cold beer and pizza after a day on the beach or rollerblading the boardwalk. Awesome!

Tofino beach is the best. Beautiful big beach with surf and whatever else you want to do.

I usually like any beach I come across. But lately I have spent a lot of time on The 25 mile stretch of beach on South Padre Island Texas. You can walk the beach looking for seashell, you can fish from shore,you can watch the birds,Pelicans skimmers, gulls, ploversand a whole lot more. If your lucky you might come across a sea turtle or two. There is sand dunes to explore, you can bbq on the beach or you can just watch the other people or the water. Its great.

The best beach that I have ever set foot upon was on Aruba. A high school friend of mine took me with him on a business trip and I really enjoyed the sun and sand and the animals.

OCEAN SHORES, WASHINGTON Ocean Shores is a quiet beach town on the coast of Washington. The beach runs for miles and is a beautiful sandy beach. There is great places to stay and plenty of restaurants. The town is small and right in the middle of the town is a small rain forest! When the summer arrives, this beach is the best and most beautiful in the world. We love it.

Our favorite beach is Gulf Shores/Orange Beach in Alabama. It is very family-oriented and the white sand beaches cannot be more beautiful! There is plenty of activities for kids, teens, and adults alike both on the beach and in nearby Foley. We love it there!

The best beach is Fort Myers beach, Florida. The Best Western beach resort is perfectly located in a quiet area with attractions, restaurants and nightlife within walking distance on the beach. The resort is beautiful, well kept and has lots of amenities.

Gaviota Beach just outside of Santa Barbara is the best beach for our family.
I stayed there as a child camping with my parents. I have taken my children as they grew up. And now they return with their their friends and family. There is something for everyone there. A Pier for fishing, rocks for fishing, you can still find sea shells, and when the tide goes out you can find pools where there is sure to be some starfish to view. There is a railroad tressel that runs over the beach for train enthusiasts, hiking paths, bike paths, and at night the winds will test your tent staking capabilities. Always excitement at this beach.

The beach in Cozumel in front of the Iberrostar. It's the last resort on the south end of the island, no one wanders through, it's isolated and , obviously, b-e-a-utiful!!

Beach's they are all very nice in their own way. I do believe the Condono Beach in San Juan is a hair nicer then all the rest. The water is as blue as it gets and the Sand is as white as any sand in the World. The people are very friendly, the food is excellant and the night life is second to none. The cost is a little less then most of the other resort areas, and there are Casino's for your enjoyment. I would suggest if you can afford this type of travel to do your best to visit all of them.

The beaches along Lake Michigan, especially in South Haven, Michigan. I love that we can walk on the pier & get splashed by the waves & visit the Lighthouse. We also enjoy the designated kids area. The best sunsets ever!

The best summer beach is Long Beach in Tofino BC! The wind cools you off, the huge crashing waves are amazing to surf (or watch others surf!) and the view can't be beat, it is gorgeous there!

Kits Beach in Vancouver BC is one of the best summer beaches! Tons of interesting people to watch, great view of the ocean and mountains and there is also a pool at the beach to go into too!

I would have to say, the best beach that I've been to is McKenzie Beach, just out side of Thunder Bay. The water is always warm and the sand bars go on forever! The best thing about are all the good memories I have growing up and visiting my friends there. My daughter was able to experience that last year and I hope to return there at least for one day in the following summers to come. We live in Edmonton so we drive to Thunder Bay for a month to see family and friends!

I think Newport Beach is the best because it is in California and it is really sandy. It's also perfect for surfing and swimming. There's also a great mall and boardwalk close by.

I have been to Aruba, the Bahamas, Hawaii, California, Key West, Louisiana, Connecticut, lakes in upstate New York, the list goes and on but when it comes down to it, I will always be a Jersey Girl at heart. My favorite beach is Ocean City, New Jersey. Beginning at 2 months old, I have visited Ocean City every year of my life and even had the privilege to live there. For years on end, it has ranked in the top ten Best Family Friendly Vacation Towns in several different magazines and questionnaires. Ocean City, New Jersey, now and forever!

If you are looking for a place for family as well as private go to Navarre Beach Florida. . . WOW it was fabulous. . . . everything you could ask for . . close to Pensacola, Ft Walton Beach and Destin. . but nestled all by itself so you get the sense of "not so crowded" and yet not so far away from all the hussell and bussel of the bigger commercial draws. Really beautiful with food, the tiki hut, fun, boggie boarding, waves, volleyball, and jet ski's for rent to make your stay whatever pace you want it to be. . . fast - - or oh so slow!!! Really . . Navarre Beach is the way to go!!

Hands down...Fort Walton Beach, Florida. I have been going there since I was a young girl, and now I take my own children there. This is a beach that you will never out grow. A tradition in the making. Kid friendly...Parent friendly. Beautiful beaches, great hotels, condos, beach houses. Great night life. Great restaruants. Something for everyone!!!

Best family beach experience was in Honolulu, HI. However, I enjoyed the all-inclusive and fulltime nanny for the kids in Runaway Bay, Jamaica.

The best beach i've ever been on was with my beautiful wife on Maui. Whales were breaching all over the place. Mama's with calves. It was our first and so far only trip to Hawaii/Maui. We can't wait to go back.

After an amazing road trip through Cali, and visits to many amazing beaches from Carmel to San Diego- picking one is nearly impossible. I see comments about many we visited and have to agree. However, the kids had the most fun playing in the awesome surf we experienced at Ocean Beach in San Diego. Great fun!!!

The most amazing beach i have seen is Cannon Beach in Oregon. The way the waves come from all directions and wrap up around you.

The only beach that I have been to outside Canada was Jamaica. It was wonderful! Best in Ontario would have to be Long Point.

Any beach is perfect! nature watching and the sounds of the water... mmmmmmm so relaxing.... However i like Kure beach NC... we can make an educational fun day with th kids.. go to the aquarium or fort fisher and then play in the ocean...love it.

My favorite beach to go to is Myrtle Beach. There is a place called Ocean Annies and you can sit out on the huge deck while enjoying food and drinks and they also have a live band that plays awesome music. Then when you get the urge to go onto the beach or into the ocean you walk off the deck right onto the beach and there you are It couldn't be any better than that and I so look forward to getting back there again.

Best Beach is Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, FL. Beautiful white sand and azure blue ocean; extremely relaxing. Perfect Day Recipe: Breakfast at the Broken Egg, good book at the beach, after-beach Libations at the Daiquiri Deck, dinner at the Rod-&-Reel (highly recommend the jalapeno poppers), and Ice Cream at Kilwin's on St. Armand's Circle.

South Padre Island

Mansion Beach on Block Island off the coast of Rhode Island is perfection. This curved beach tucked at the tip of the island is endowed with clear water, a sandy bottom, and rolling body surfing waves. Unspoiled by snack shops and banana boats you can indulge in examining the cliffside tide-pools teeming with marine life for hours.

The beaches of Fort Morgan, Alabama are dear to my family and me. We have had many-many family vacations there. My husband's adult siblings (from different states) meet there with their spouses and children for the week and share a beach front house. Everyone can play in the sand and surf. When one party gets tired or has a little too much sun they can go back into the house and there are always aunts, uncles and cousins left to play with the ones that want to stay out in the water. By sharing a house all the extended famiy members get to spend much quality time with each other and if needed they can always retreat to the privacy of their suite in the house. My husband always rounds up the kids (big and little) after dark. He equips each one with a flashlight, bucket and net and they go treasure hunting up and down the beach. Ahhhh-it doesn't get better than that!

The BEST Summer beach to me is my best friends swimming pool, yard and home. They have a lovely place to just relax and hang out with friends, with people stopping in all the time just to chill and relax with mutual friends!! LOVE IT!! But anyplace on the shorline of Huron Lake in Michigan is gorgeous in the summer!!

Summer implies a place that isn't too hot and humid and the water isn't too cold. That says Waikiki Beach to me, best people-watching ever and walk to anything barefoot!

Growing up my family always went camping there. I've continued to visit there, and 6 years ago my husband and I got married on that beach. We love it so much that we named our daughter Mackenzie!! We now have purchased a camper and will continue our tradition of going there every year. Such a magical beach with nothing but magical memories!

I have to say Waikiki Beach in Hawaii is the best beach I have been to. The pristine water/beach and scenery is breathtaking while it's close to everything where you can shop, dine or even go dancing. It was well worth the long trip!

Mackenzie Beach at Tofino, Vancouver Island BC gets my vote for the best beach ever. Flat sand that goes on forever and when you look out over the ocean the next stop is Japan. The constant surf noise both calms and relaxes making for exquisite breaks from real life. Winter storms or summer heat, this is one beautiful beach.

Haifa, Israel as the sea wraps around three sides of Haifa with the most incredibly blue water and gold beaches.

i would have to say galleon beach in st martin it has a nice bar /restaurant bathrooms and a true quiet atmosphere it is a cove so it has no waves so its perfect for kids water is as clear as ever and always warm water also not popular so nice and quite check it out

The best beach for a family or couples is Lake Willoughby in Westmore, Vermont.
It is a glacier lake which goes to 300 feet in spots. It is a Natural National Landmark.
The beach itself on the north side is open to the public and you can go out in the water for quite some time and the water is still up to your knees. The water itself is so clear you can see your feet and the sandy bottom no matter how far you go out.
It is surrounded by mountains on both sides. It is the most beautiful and relaxing beach.
There is also fishing, boating, hiking, rock climbing and biking

I love the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in California. If you get bored soaking up the sun on the beach, you can go play on the Boardwalk or wharf. During the summer they offer concerts and entertainment right on the beach. Nothing beats the fun and the sun the Beach Boardwalk offers.

My favorite beaches are the ones in Key West. Not only is there lots of activities to do in the water but outside of the water as well. The water is so clear and warm. I just love to be able to stay in the water the whole time I am there.

The best summer beach of all time is the one in Michigan City, IN. Why? Because it's got the best sand and you can't beat Lake Michigan for a refreshing swim.

Napili Bay has great snorkling, surf is great ( if the swell is right) but nothing can compete with any of the beaches in Yap of Micronesia it has all that without any of that (people restaurants hotels) just beauty and peace nothing like it.

The best beach is the rocky sandstone shelf right in front of our home on Pender Island, British Columbia. The tide pools are filled with critters and the resident Orca pods travel past, often within 500 metres of the shore. Ferries, freighters, tugs with tows, small recreational vessels all pass by. Couldn't be better.

The best beach in oregon is Gold Beach. It is a breathtaking place when the sun goes accross the horizon when the day is ending. I wish everybody could have the chance to see it at least one time in their life. You can walk quite a ways in either direction and enjoy the beauty.

I can't say enough about Kiawah Island beaches in South Carolina. They are wide, clean, shallow, and not very busy. Great for families, relaxing, or an all around great beach experience.

The best beach is clean, with soft white sand, family friendly and not very deep-located in Traverse City Michigan. It's only one hour from other great sights like Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackanaw Island.

We are beach people, and I have been to many beautiful beaches around the world. However, I would have to throw in a vote for the beaches close to my home. The beaches of Englewood, FL are wonderful for a summertime destination. White sandy beaches; calm, clear warm water; great shelling and shark tooth hunting; no crowds; watch manatees, dolphins and various fish swim by; great restaurants all around and lots of choices for places to stay. The weather is nearly always perfect. And of course, boating, water-skiing, jet-skiing, boogie boarding, tubing and fishing can all be on the vacation agenda!

Well it has to be a beach where there's a Best Western, right? A bit of history along with the beauty helps too. I vote for Monterey State Beach. Read Cannery Row before you go, and stay at the Best Western Plus Beach Resort (right ON the beach). I'm looking forward to staying there in September!

El Salvador! Beautiful black sand that transitions into white sand. Gorgeous sunsets over the Pacific Ocean along with clear water. It's so quiet you have the place to yourself; just the local fishermen! I want to go back. (We don't have beaches in Nebraska!) :-(

Our favorite beach is the beautiful white sand beach of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We have been there 3 times, to 3 different resorts, and the beach was Always clean, not too crowded, and simply perfect! Add a Pina Colada made with Domincan dark rum and THAT is a perfect beach vacation!!

Gulf Shores is our families favorite beach. The white sands and family frendly area makes it perfect for a quiet relaxing vacation.

My personal all time favorite beach to go to is Top Sail Island! This is a very family oriented beach. It is very cool because it is a small island that seperates off of the coast. Before going there I had never been able to find a whole sea shell that hadnt been broken. When my family and I went out on the beach there was enough sea shells for all of us to take a bag full home. Also while we were there a sea turtle laid eggs on one of the dunes out in front of the condo. While we were there we also went to the turtle hospital they had for recovering turtles. It was so awesome to see these huge creatures up close! I hope everyone can go visit one day!

The Nicest, and most beautiful beach I have ever been to is Black Sand Beach on the Island of Hawaii. The sand comes from the Volcanoes that are active on that Island

The best beach is Kure Beach, NC It was the first beach we took our son too. Its not too overpopulated, the people are friendly, and its the perfect spot for families. It is also home to the NC aquarium, which is a must see, and also a short drive to shopping in Wilmington at the Cotton Exchane, or visting the NC battleship, or many other activities :)

I love the beach at the Devil's Lake in Wisconsin. I t is a very clean beach and you can actually see the fish by looking into the water. The sand is nice and soft and clean as well.

Our family just returned from a wonderful beach. Newport, OR. takes the cake for us. Oregon beaches are open to the public, the beaches are not privately owned making for mile after mile of open beach to enjoy. We spent hours relaxing, hunting for shells and looking in wonder at tide pools. A beautiful spot with great weather which we enjoyed as a family.

The best beach is Anagada BVI it is the carribian on one side and the atlantic on the other, there is a shack for a bar and restaurant on the atlantic side hammocks in the trees and you can walk around the whole island is you feel like it. There is a great restaurant on the C side with the best and biggest lobster I've ever had. It's a great place for a romantic getaway.

Hapuna Beach on the island of Hawaii. Cleanest white sand flowing into the bule Pacific ocean with generous surf for surfing and boogey board riding. If you are a fishing enthusiast, you can fish along the sides where no one is swimming. At sunset, you can see dthe most beautiful red sun with the green flash if you are lucky!!! At night, the millions fo stars let you know that you are lucky to be one of the billion who are witnessing part of the univers expansion!!!

The best beach on the planet is located in Los Organos, Peru. Los Organos is a sleepy village in northern Peru, with beautiful white semi course sandy beaches, with a back drop of mountains, and an anclave of colorful wooden fishing boats anchored offshore. And the best part of all, it was this beach where the most beautiful woman on the planet was made, my wife.

If I were to choose my favorite beach in the US, it would be on Isle of Palms, SC. I have great memories of this beach and went with my future husband on our first date there in 1978. I loved picking up sand dollars and star fish on the beaches early in the morning before the masses came to spread out their blankets, and paraphernalia for a fun-filled day at the beach.

Anywhere where there is not a single best western hotel in sight is the perfect vacation destination.

KGrowing up in the Northwest, my families favorite escape is Seaside Oregon. Besides the beautiful beaches, there is so much to do! Horseback riding, go-carts, kayaking, museums, art galleries, historical tours, lighthouses, aquariums and sites to see. Not to mention the FABULOUS restaurants, arcades for the children, and shopping!! I love the import store at the Carousel Mall full of goodies from around the world. And when your day is done, returning to our room at the Best Western is an even bigger treat. Containing an in-house restaurant, indoor pool and spa, the most comfortable beds ever smothered in fluffy pillows and top notch room service, you might not want to ever leave your hotel! I highly recommend Seaside, OR. For any vacationer traveling with or without children, there's always something for everyone!

Varadero Cuba, best in the whole world

The most beautiful beach I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying was Varadero Beach in Cuba. It is so tranquil, with white sand and clear (almost) torquiose water. It was amazing!

Nothing can beat coming out of your room at the Tin Wis Resort Lodge, McKenzie Beach, Tofino, early in the morning, just sitting on a bench, with a coffee and enjoying the beach and the pacific ocean.

Our favourite beach is Sauble Beach on the shores of Lake Huron in Ontario, CANADA! You can stay at nearby Best Western's in Kinkardine and Owen Sound.

It's a great beach for everyone. Family friendly!

Hanalei Bay on the island of Kauai Hawaii is the best beach I have visited. It is about 2 miles of pale sand and warm water. There are shade trees just off the beach and swimming is wonderful.

I grew up going to ocean City,MD. Its not the best beach i'm sure but to me it holds the best memories.

Garden City Beach, SC. In the late winter I walk for hours on that beach with a cool brisk wind in my face in the morning and the warmth of the sun by mid-day. Friendly smiles can always be found there too....especially when the perfect shell is found.

by: darlene f. I grew up 19 miles from Daytona Beach Fl. and New Smyrna Beach so great beaches I have enjoyed. Both have the WOW factor. As a parent you hunt for cheap, safe and new places all the time. So in the middle of one of those hunts I came across Howard's Park. It's between Clearwater Fl. and just south of Tarpon Springs, on the west coast of florida. The sand white the water clear and blue, but this beach has something else, turtle grass in the water 100 yards out. It,s like being in the florida keys colored fish and marine life everwhere. We went during scallop season , we didn't know it at the time, but you can get a license to catch the swimming scallops. The kids just loved the day watching the scallops and the fish swimming around. We did alot of swimming and later enjoyed the beach and grill area, eating our sandwiches and watching one of the hottiest hot pink and orange sunsets. Park opens sunrise and closes at sunset, enjoy we did!!!!

The Best beach is Lanikai beach on Oahu. It is the perfect hawaiian beach, white gold sand, deep blue water looking out to the Mokuluas,two little islands just off shore ,coconuts palms swaying. Fabulous!!!

My favorite summer beach would have to be Megan's Bay, US virgin islands!
It is breath taking! I would recommend to everyone to go one day! It is truly one of the most beautiful beaches in the world!

Oh the beach in Montego Bay Jamaica. It is absolute paradise. I was on vacation in Jamaica and met my husband there. We also returned for our honeymoon. Nothing more beautiful than the teal colored water....ahh wish I was there right now!

Just came back from Australia. 2 words............Gold Coast. That is a beach my friends. I've been to Tahiti, Maui, Fiji, Greece, but the Gold Coasts beach stretches on forever and has some sick surf to boot. That being said, I can never get enough beach time and I'm looking forward to trying them all.

While I do live in NJ and have to admit our beaches are the best in summer fun...I must say my favorite beach is in Florida. Sanible Island. I decided to travel alone for the first time and had heard how wonderful this spot was from so many people that it seemed like the perfect place to escape. ... AND IT WAS. Traveling over the bridges from Florida onto the island I instantly relaxed. It was a heavenly view. The island was lovely. It had such a cozy feel to it and so simple to get around. Traveling alone I felt absolutely safe and at home. The beach was AWESOME. The warm gentle waters were sooooooo relaxing and comforting. Shallow enough to walk out a nice distance and just float. The best morning was when the dolphins swam up.. YES, not kidding. Swam up to the shore. Kids were amazed and it was such a beautiful sight. Finding a good place to eat was a breeze. Driving down to Captiva is a great ride and you can get anywhere by bike. Lots to do, or nothing to do.... it was simply wonderful. Calm, quiet, clean and perfect for a beach escape!!!!! Love it.
