My travel heart always lies in Belfast, Ireland. Born in Tralee, we moved to Belfast when I was four, and until we emmigrated to Canada I lived the most wonderful life there. We were innocent children who played, hide and seek, tag, skip rope and roller skated. Not a lot of money and sometimes we would even share skates, one each, but happy, contented, peaceful memories stay with me even now. Close friends who were always on your side, boys were always on the other team, and parents who disciplined equally and together, we were all treated the same. I long to go home again! Thank you. G. I am interested in taking road trips within the continental US with resort like destinations that appeal to adults and young teens. My daughter is at an age where she has to be active ALL THE TIME or she gets BORED. Places that have snorkeling, hiking, biking, swimming and close to Amusement Parks would be ideal. I've always wanted to see the Grand Canyon and think it would be fun to drive there from the Bay Area and make a few stops in between at some of the nicer Best Westerns.

We became road trip enthusiasts several years ago when our son was stationed at an Army base in California (we live in Florida.) We are hooked now! And we always look for Best Westerns, either for our nights on the road or final destination. We fell in love with Best Western because they have renovated and updated so many of the cozy old Mom and Pop hotels and motor hotels from the 1940's through the 1960's, which enhances the whole road trip experience. When we are spending a night on the road, its always nice to find a hotel or motel where we can park the car right in front of our room, and Best Western has always been consistent with the type of service they provide, from BWs we have stayed in from California to New York. We would love to see more articles about road-tripping and great venues with Best Westerns nearby, especially in the vicinity of national parks.

I think, travel guides can be a best thing containing world's best restaurants info, must buy info (as each country has its own speciality like chocolates & wines in Belgium, leather shoes in Italy etc..),cautions (Safety tips for travellers), public transports information, airports information (airport names, facilities, some photos etc.), local holidays information, weather conditions, etiquettes & cultural information etc..., world's safest airlines informations OR airlines blog, that people share their thoughts about different world airlines, which will help other people to choose a best carrier, pay less - get more info (in this blog, local residents of each country can provide some useful info that for what we can get more by paying less).

As we do travel a lot both for business and pleasure we would be specially interested in new new locations för Best Western Hotels linked to activities in that specific area. Interested areas might be South America ut also Europe. As we are also concerned about the climate change and the environment we do not need to go very far away. There are so many interesting and exciting places also in Europe.

I'd like to see ideas for weekend trips when there is something special happening in the area.

Inexpensive weekend getaways, general tips for finding travel discounts (hotel, plaine, rail, bus), and tips for traveling with pets are all thing I would like to see. Advanced info on upcoming Best Western promotions and deals would be great too!

I have a busy schedule but love to get away for one or two nights to destinations that involve outdoors and special events. Especially ski trips, mountain bike events and music events. Where are they, whats the event about and where to stay. Help me!

I'd like to see tips on how to navigate more quickly through the larger airports. On a trip to Ireland, I had a layover at London's Heathrow Airport. Had I not had an experienced traveler accompanying me, I would have never made it though the airport to my connecting flight.

you should spotlight a city in each blog. you should put where to eat, and what to see and which best western to stay in according to the proximity of the particular attraction you are spotlighting. You should also make it budget-related. you know some expensive things to do and some affordable things to do.

My heart lies in Vegas Baby !! Bright lights and lots to do and see. I would love for Best Western to be an intregal part of the Vegas scene! Your brand and atmosphere is so comfy and relaxing. A great place to put your head down after a fun and exciting day.

I would like to see travel information for motorcycle traverlers, such as what are some of the "day" or "weekend" trips for a certain state and where the Best Westerns are located along the trip.

I have found when traveling with younger kids (because most of them have a shorter attention span) is to go to the Dollar Store and buy several items, wrap them up like Christmas presents and when they begin to show signs of bordom give them a present to open and play with for awhile. When they tire of that one give them another one. This keeps them busy playing with a toy or coloring, or whatever you buy them, etc.
Get enough for both ways.

I would like to see travel information on specific routes, like the I-75 to Florida. Things to do along the way, with Best Westerns that are close to the route. I find that when I am looking for a hotel, I have to look at towns or cities along the route first and then plug in to see if there is a hotel nearby. It would be nice to have a listing of hotels along a certain route and then some travel information so it can be one stop route planning.

I would like to receive discounts for the western united states, particularly in Wyoming and Montana

In this lazy, overweight USA why don't hotels offer better exercise facilities? I work in the healthcare field and am amazed at how many hotels don't have functioning exercise machines. I have a challenge for the World's Largest hotel chain....stand alone and show us you care about guest's health. Rent bicycles to your guests, map out walking routes, offer incentives to those who exercise during their stay.

Family travel ideas--especially interesting things to do that are near your hotels. For example: if you're staying at the Best Western in xyz city, here are some great places to visit. Doesn't have to be right next door, but within a reasonable driving distance. I'm always looking for fun new places to visit!

Internet access is important when you are travelling both for business and holiday. Many Best Western in the USA and offer countries offer free Internet access. This is always a good reason to book this hotel. Sometimes the description of the hotel says: "Internet access" or "Wireless Internet" and this means that a charge applies and it is not free. Bad if you find out after checking in. In one hotel it was a free service - but only for a short time up to 20MB of transfer which is not much with all the pictures and buttons used even for email access. After that the charge was 30 cents per Megabyte. This is 300$ per Megabyte or more than 10 times the charge for Internet access via a 3G mobile network. Hopefully sometime all hotels will offer free Internet without hidden charges.

Would like to see tips and ideas on traveling with an elderly parent? The helpful staff at Best Western on Shelter Island changed our room to a room equipped for the handicapped and that made all the difference.

I'd like to see information on those out of the way places. It's easy to get information on the major places, everyone goes there and it's usually crammed with people. I don't usually get to see much because I don't care for crowds. Share info on those other places, unusual attractions, off the beaten path, unusual festivals, etc.

I think it would be a good idea to offer special discounts for "serial travellers": that is, for people who are spending several days and nights en route to their destination. Best Western could offer such a discount if one reserved accommodation at Best Western for all nights en route (say a minimum of 5 consecutive nights). This would increase Best Western's business and benefit the traveller. -Roy

I'd like to know I have a room when I get to my destination. The last time I made a reservation using the Best Western website and received a confirmation number, when I got to where I was going and went in to the motel, they had no reservation for me and the confirmation number meant nothing to them. That was really comforting!

I'd love to have information about samll town Best Westerns--roadfood tips and ideas , cute small town areas, one day trips. With "Staycations" so big nowdays, I think it would be great to find out what is close and neat and Bet Western.

My heart lies in Vienna, Austria. The Capital of Music and the Land of Arts and Delights. There you cannot feel the time passing. If you visited Vienna once, you will love to go again and again. The Cafe Houses and the food are magnificent. If you feel under stress, then take a break and go and lie on the grass in the Volksgarten. If you are a "Shopping Lover" you will find whatever you are looking for regardless of your budget. If you love "Arts and History," then you will find hundreds of Museums of all kind. There is a Museum for everything you can imagine in Vienna. No other city in the world has as much museums as Vienna. More than 800 ball (dance) are performed in Vienna every year. Hundreds of Music events are performed all around the year, starting from the New Year Concert "Neujahrskonzert". Above all, "The Viennese" are friendly and helpful. The Women are beautiful and elegant.

I pack my running shoes when I travel and would like to know good places to run when I'm visiting an area. I like to know where I'll be safe, what type of trail is available (dirt, paved bike path, road). When I'm visiting a culture that is foreign to me, I also like to know what the mores are--are shorts frowned on for women, that sort of thing.

Running adds to the memories of the places I've visited. I've run along the Seine in Paris while the 8 a.m. bells were ringing at Notre Dame, along a moat by the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, and among the seven hills of Lisbon.

Advice on travelling with kids and highlights for family oriented locations are just what we need!
