Living in Heat City (Phoenix, AZ) makes one dream for cooler weather. I venture from my air conditioned house, to my air conditioned car and so one each day.

I would just love a simple trip to Flagstaff, AZ. This mountain town in Northern Arizona boasts a simple life with wonderful people and temps that are close to 30 degrees cooler than Phoenix!!

A 2.5 hour drive and you are greeted by the pine trees and San Francisco Peaks as well as the wonderful people of Flagstaff.

I would love a weekend where I could just go for a hike and enjoy the outdoors...because in Phoenix in the summer, you just can'd do that!

    Save me from the heat!!

Snorkeling in the warm, beautiful turquoise waters of Maui. Quite possibly the most peaceful time I've ever had on vacation. Going back someday.

I'm dreaming of being on the beach at Waikiki. The trade winds blow gently. As I lay in the shade of a palm lined umbrella, I sip my pina colada. Out in the waves I watch our teenagers take private surf lessons. My husband reads on the lounge chair next to mine. Our daughter builds sand castles with her new friends near the waters edge. Around me I can hear the crash of the waves and laughter. I look over at my husband, our eyes meet, and we both smile...

I'd love to sneak away to a tiny cabin in the woods near the coast of Northern CA or OR with a stack of books, some good classical music, and my running shoes!

My dream vacation would be at The Outer Banks of NC, in a beach house with my husband of 30 years. Long walks on the beach, swimming, visiting the shops, and just lying in the sun. Heavenly!

I'm always daydreaming about a return visit to Washington DC. Our family has visited several times and there is always something new and different to experience. Being surrounded by so much history is exciting, yet humbling at the same time.

I love the smell of saltwater in the air, and a cabin in the woods is pure relaxation....but there is nothing like a family vacation in our nation's capital.
