My must-see destination is Folly Beach Sc. When I was growing up as a family we would make it there every other year. This Year I get to carry on this tradition and take my boys to the beach!

Paris, France because it is the city of lights and culture and cuisine and cafes and monuments and shopping and.....

Lexington, Kentucky because when we drive south to Florida from Toronto, we set off at 6.00a.m. in the morning in freezing temperatureswe usually reach there at 600p.m. in beautiful balmy 60 degrees (hot for us)

Brunswick,GA,Indianapolis,IN and Savannah,GA are a must see cities period.They all have a great history about them and they are very beautiful places to see and visit.The cultures in all of those cities are great as well.

New York City and the Outer Banks of NC.

A must for 2009 like every year. Kenosha Wisconsin. Great place, great desk service, great bar service, and you must go to "The Brat Stop" to party at.

Fort Worth, Texas. There is nothing like cowtown for a family style vacation. The sights, the attractions throughout the Metroplex area make it an area my family loves to travel to every summer!

Definitely include the Sonoma and Napa valleys in California on your MUST TRAVEL list! It is so very very beautiful and relaxing... a great trip is to fly there if you live elsewhere in the usa, and then rent a car and do day trips throughout the valleys, the vineyards(both olive and grape), and the little towns along the way. It will be a trip you will never forget, and will probably repeat!

The Highlands of Scotland - where the haggis run wild, soothing music breezes through the air, and cars on the roads seem to be driving wildly...

The Ozarks region (specifically St. Louis, Branson, Kansas City, MO) for the history, scenery, entertainment, and barbeque!

2009 must see travel destination has to be Edinburgh, Scotland, in July for the Clan Gathering! Largest gathering of anyone with Scottish blood(or even just a love of all things Scotland!) at the end of July. Highland games, parades, bagpipes, who can miss it?

Saint Jose, California. My daughter is at Palmer College and we are in New Brunswick, Canada. Not only is California a must see, so is our daughter Amanda!

San Francisco is my destination for this year. I was only there once before and I got hives and spent the entire trip in the hotel.

Hawaii is my other destination. I would love to get married on the beach.

Alaska is a must in the summer! It looks like a beautiful place to see. The whales, glaciers, Denali train ride. A definite on the list of places to go!

We have our Best Western Hotel book and plan on taking a road trip on our motorcycle from Tucson to Helena, Mt to Seattle, WA, then down the coast to San Diego and then back home. We are both really looking forward to this trip.

Hershey, PA-Our youngest son is graduating from Lycoming College in Williamsport so we will combine a family vacation with graduation!

Honolulu Hawaii and Auckland New Zealand are MUST SEES this year !

I've never been to New York City, so it is on our MUST list for this year. Times Square, the new stadium for the Yankees, a broadway play, the statue of liberty, and, sadly, the twin tower monument are only a small part of what I want to take in there.

Everyone should see the California Redwoods at Redwoods National and State Parks in Northern California. Stay in Garberville or Crescent City. The Jedidiah Smith State Park is one of the most beautiful groves of Redwoods. These ancient trees are amazing and everyone should see them at least once.

There are great places to tour right here in Canada! You must see the African Lion Safari located in Cambridge, ON. I have been to the one in Florida which is identical to the one in Ontario. Many African animals to see which walk right pass your vehicle. The only thing missing is the gators........................

New Mexico in October is the place to be for the magical Hot Air Balloon Festival in Alburquerqee. Start in Sant Fe for some great history and architecture and make it a road trip to Alburquerqee. Be sure to stop in Madrid, a small artsy town that is like a 60s flashback with lots of beautiful finds. Check out some of the fascinating ghost towns and indian ruins along the way. Then in Alburquerqee, ride the tramway at Sandia peak for stunning views. The Indian Culture center has fabulous dance performances and the Balloon Festival just enchanting!!

We can't wait for our first trip to the panhandle of Florida.

My vacation destination is Los Angeles. My husband and I taking a Mexican Riviera cruise in October. We are then staying four days to go sightseeing, etc. We haven't been to LA for over thirty years and are looking forward to our trip.

Fargo, North Dakota - after it stops snowing! When you have family, you go where they are and you just find ways to enjoy the ride! We will go from California to North Dakota and stop at Best Westerns all along the way. We travel with our Scottish Terrier and he is always welcome at BWs!

My must take trip for 2009 is to New York state to see 2 Aunts in their 80"s who helped raise me. I have not seen them in 5 yrs and they keep asking when I am coming. I moved to Texas 12 yrs ago and it is hard to get back
there often but they both have been ill so this is the year I need to go God willing.

This year we are celebrating with good friends that turn 50 with a trip to San Juan, PR and a cruise - should be awesome!

With the economy the way it is, we won't be traveling much, but will gather the family in Cincinnati to celebrate our youngest son's graduation from
Xavier University!! (Hooray-no more tuition payments!) We'll also make a trip to Chicago to visit our middle son & hopefully hit the beach along Lake Shore Drive!

We will be making a much anticipated trip to Alaska for our 35th anniversary this year. We will do a 7 day cruisetour and travel all the way to the Artic Ocean and then a 7 day cruise to see the glaciers!

Gotta go to Canon City, Colorado to see the Royal Gorge Bridge and travel the great countryside on our motorcycle!

A must on the list would have to be Tahiti. They even have a Best Western there. It would be so warm and beautiful. Would have to go snorkeling since there are so many tropical fish. Swimming a must and some fantastic Polynesian cruisine.

Later this month I am going to London and Paris. They are great places to visit any time of the year.

Palm Springs! It's a good jumping off start.

Prince Edward Island, in eastern Canada, is a must see. A nice, small island that can be explored over a few days. VERY friendly people. Nice bed and breakfast inns. Fabulous beaches and inlets. Amazing lobster and other seafood. If you like lighthouses, this is the province for you. If you are a fan of Anne of Green Gables, also the place to visit. Drive the world's longest bridge to get there from the mainland or fly right into Charlottetown.

Plan on going to the Seattle area. Have been there a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Saw the Coulee Dam, Mt Rainier, the Wine country on the Columbia River. Lots to see.

I really would like to travel to Northern California and go up to Oregon or over to Nevada. I love visiting National/State Parks and natural history and take in the scenery. I work as a Nurse Practitioner all year and deserve a vacation. I also take a family member who cannot afford to pay their way.

Our must-travel destination is the Killeen, Texas area--our son is stationed at Fort Hood and will be deploying to Iraq in May.

Grand Tetons NP & Yellowstone NP. We have visited most of the National Parks of the West and eveyone of them has exceeded our expectations. At ages 27 & 28 our kids will still vacation with us if it includes a National Park.

Seattle, Washington!!! Convention time in October with all my deafies and hard of hearing friends..... "huh, say what?" lol...

A MUST see for every American is Washington, D.C.! The city is beautiful and makes you proud (and grateful) to live in the USA!

Therefore, my must have travel destination is the moon. Or, in other words the limitless - ANYWHERE OUR IMAGINATION CAN TAKE US.

Sarasota, Florida is my destination to visit Ringling museum. Tibbels Miniature Circus is on display.

Going to Disney World in August 2009 -- will celebrate my 60th birthday with all my family, will watch my youngest granddaughter get to meet Mickey Mouse as 1st time for her, and watch my daughter dance for the 5th time at Disney World. Have already made two nights reservations going to DW and coming back home to Illinois at Best Western Motels. What a great vacation this will be!!!!

The place I would love to travel is to Disney in Orlando, FL. Been there several times before and always find the urge to go back again and again.

. Paris is the largest outdoor museum in the world. Even the bridges featured great art ,especially Pont Alexandre III. In this aestheically beautiful city, everywhere you look, no matter which direction, you can stand, rotate 360 degrees , and voila! you see some form of art.

Must see Chicago, IL. to attend a wedding and visit the fun things to do around the Windy City. Our son had a wonderful time at the Lincoln Park Zoo last year.

My exciting trip to Morocco with family and friends is the place to go this year. We'll see such exotic places, ride camels and camp in the Sahara.

Celebrating our 25th anniversary - Yosemite? California Wine Country? Utah National Parks? Any number of National Parks - so many choices, it will be hard to decide...

Traveling to St. John's Virgin Island is a goal. Swimming with tortoises and snorkeling is exciting.

Traveling in the Midwest, the Northeast, and Southeast this year.
Coastal Georgia in March, Door County, Wisconsin in June, and the Capital region of New York State in July. I'm sure we'll be making many side trips from our destinations.

Our Must Travel car trip destination for summer 2009 is Yellowstone National Park with a slow return to Florida with stops in South Dakota, Wisconsin, New York, New Jersey and various East coast states on our southbound ride home to Florida.

Rhode island, any part is great but my favorite is newport, I go to Rhode Island twice a year to visit my finances family and will be going there in July to visit again, going on the bay queen on July 4th is awesome.

Must travel to Tucson, Arizona near Marana to see my two grandchildren, daughter,and son-in-law that I haven't seen in 2 years! I miss them.

New York City: people, history, theatre, shopping, sites, restaurants, architecture and attitude. This is a city everyone needs to visit at least once.

Deadwood, South Dakota. Where history lives. Come see where Wild Bill Hickok came to live and gold was discovered in the black hills. Pan for Gold, take the historical trips, There is year round entertainment with ski and snowboarding right up the mountain.

The Cayman Islands is my must travel destination this year. Sun, sand, snorkel - what could be better. I've heard it's some of the best snorkeling so that's what I want to check out.

Mexico!

We plan to go back to Sonoma and Napa CA in the Fall. We have been going to CA for 12 years--and absolutely love it. It is our favorite place to visit!

Tunica, MS for us. After a long cold winter we feel like gambling and there is no better place.

My son who is 14 was selected as district winner of the VFW's "Why Honor Veterans? essay, he was also selected as Jr High All-state Band in drums, also the SD State Math Counts competition. All three events are in Pierre, SD, the capital of our state so we MUST travel there. It's about 3 hrs from our home. There is a Best Western there too!!

Washington;, DC is my must destination for 2009. In this inaugural year, where else would be so exciting a venue!

I must take a trip to Victiria, B.C.! My twin sister has lived there for 15 years and I've yet to see her home. It's time we were together again!

I would love to get away to Pacifica, CA and stay at the Lighthouse Inn. Enjoy the beach with someone special....some much needed personal and romantic time. Between work and kids it is so hard just to get some quality personal, romantic time. ;-) Good for us and ultimately good for the family so please keep me in mind and thanks for the opportunity-the $100 would certainly help make this a reality.

One must travel destination is now Washington, DC. After just witnessing Obama's inauguration on TV, I want to go in person and see the Capitol and revisit history just made.

Rome, Italy and surrounding area..........a short jaunt also to Whistler, B.C. for some Canadian flavor and a trip to Punta Cana for two weeks of sunshine to lift the spirits from the winter doldrums.

How do I choose out of so many fabulous places to visit? Saint Lucia would be my top pick for 2009. A warm Carribean island with mouthwatering views, friendly locals, and tons of outdoor activities.

Iceland and the English Channel Islands. Beautiful scenery and history.

My MUST SEE DESTINATION for 2009 is Dinosaur National Monument...Dig It!

Tyrell Museum in Drumheller Alberta, a world class dinosaur must see. Just happens that the Best Western is the best hotel the town too.

Not very distant but just as important.. I want to go to Calgary AB. to have a "play date" with my 2 granddaughters!

Wow - I thought we had our travel plans for the year narrowed down, but reading all these other posts, we have some new destinations to consider now. Paris and Sydney are still on the short list (thanks to our Frequent Flier miles and Best Western points). But maybe closer to home, a return to Key West or New Orleans would be nice. Then again, there are worse places to be than staying local here in San Francisco. Hmm...

I love the Best Western And will be going there twice this year.

Washington D.C. It's going to be refreshed with a new president! A place with great history!

At the top of my list is Sanibel Island, Floriday. It is a beautiful island where the are many fantastic restaurants, enjoyable shopping, and a lot of fun things to do for the family. It is a nature island and is not built up with 30 story hotels. I love to relax and watch nature and Ding Darling National Park. To complete this wonderful trip is staying at the Best Western's Sanibel Island Beach Resort, which is located on the Gulf of Mexico. Nothing could be better!

Seriously, Ithaca NY is Gorge'ous!!

A road trip to Florida would be the ULTIMATE trip for 2009. Time with family while taking in all the beauty that the Eastern United States have to offer.

I love Tuscany - so many little villages and wonderful vineyards... ooh la la!

My 'must go to' destination for 2009 is Auckland, New Zealand. I have read and heard so many great and wonderful things about this fantastic country. I am making plans to experience this exciting city later this year, June's the plan. Yeah 2009.

After being on vacation hiatus for 3 years (having 2 kids, renovations, etc...) my husband and I have decided to take a long deserved trip with the two kiddies to Florida this March. Cannot wait! That is my 2009 destination I am looking forward too, at least for now anyways!

I want to visit Biltmore Castle in Virginia, with a dear friend of mine.

My Must Travel place in 2009 is the Greek Islands - it seems like such a wonderful place to be after watching Mamma Mia.

Our must visi place in 2009 is Washington DC - we're taking our kids to see the Capitol, and visit the place where history took place with Obama's inauguration.

My Must Travel destination for 2009 is Yukon and Alaska. Land of the Midnight Sun!

I've been fortunate to already have enjoyed opportunites to travel extensively (40-50 countries) and now my 'MUST TRAVEL destinations for 2009' include any Best Western hotel away from the city where I live, and more importantly, work, in. I'm confident that when I see a 'Best Western' hotel sign that I can be assured of a clean and comfortable place to rest for a while. My idea of a great travel destination for 2009 is myself, a friend and a Best Western hotel in some other location meeting up for a relaxing, fun-filled weekend.

I love the Cook islands- spectacular and unspoiled.

Minneosota's North Shore and up the Gunflint Trail to see moose and other wild things!!

Galway Bay - where the sun sets upon the heather and the beer and friends are never better!

love switzerland and the food and the music and the culture - plus its so easy to visit another country for a day trip - gotta love the swiss for watches and banking - its all there!
