You Must Be Trippin'

I am planning a driving trip from Florida to Montana. A gift card from Best Western would allow me to stay at some of the really nice Best Western Inns featured on this blog. This travel blog was the original inspiration for my trip!

I would give a $250 Best Western card to my sister who will be my traveling companion. What a wonderful adventure we could have thanks to Best Western.

I have always wanted to see places i have never seen before and with a 250$ i would be able to start my journey.

I would give the other best wester card to my mother in law because she has help me so much. Without her i wouldnt be able to go to school.

I'd take the kids and use it for a night at the Best Western Midway WE ALL LOVE IT

I'd use it for our upcoming Disney trip!

And I'd give one to my grandmother, she loves to travel and has a good friend she travels with and they are always looking for a good deal!

I think we'd take a road trip with our Best Western card. Maybe Vermont or even up to Toronto.

I'd likely give a card to my dad, so he could join us on our adventure too.

I would use it to go visit my friends in West Virginia and I would give the second one to my Mom to use when her and my Aunt go away to go to the theatre all over the place.

I would go to Italy and take my fabulous best friend! We've both been dreaming about going to Rome forever!!

I would give the second one to my daughter who is in her second year of college and just studies studies and does her design projects. It has been going on two years since we took a trip any where together! I would love to take her back to New York for a well deserved break!

I would use my travel card to go on a shopping trip to grove city. I would gift the second one to my grandma so she could come too :)

I would use the gift card at Christmas for our little getaway.

I would give the other card to my friend in Kentucky that needs a break from life for a couple of days.

I'd take a special trip to Montreal Canada for a foodie weekend and I'd use the second card for my special friend who would be surprised to see where we're going as I whisk her to the airport!

I'd use it to visit my friends in Montreal, haven't been there for over 8 years! I would give the 2nd one to my friend Cathey who's in the same boat, we both move out of Montreal 15 years ago and we only made it back a few times. I do miss the shopping and the great restaurants and of course my friends, however they are visiting in my region more often than I get to go back to Montreal.

I'd use my Best Western card toward our 2012 family vacation we have been saving up for. We have never taken a REAL family vacation and are looking so forward to it.

I'd give the additional card to my brother who is in the military and whom I have not seen or hugged in almost 5 years.

I would use one to take my 2 princesses on a land portion of a cruise we are planning for. The second card would be given to my inlaws. He was just diagnosed with Alzheimers and this could be used as a quick get away before he loses everything.

I would use it to go see my Mom and dad for thanksgiving and christmas .I would give the other to my father in law whos mother is not doing very well in a rest home in Missouri He has not seen her in a few years and I would love to help him out by giving him this card.

My wife and I would use my BW points for 2 rooms in Asheville and use the card for food and fun. The other card would be given to my twin sister so we could share our upcoming birthday weekend (Nov 12).

I would use it to visit Niagara Falls and I would take my hubby of 30 years along for the ride!

One would go to him, he is five, to see one of them, the other would go to the other, to come see us.

They are getting up there in age, and honestly it would be the last time they might see their grandson. I realize everyone has a story like this, but you asked!

Getting closer to Christmas time, I would use the gift card to stay in either Erie Penn, or Birchrun MI to shop at the outlet malls. I would give the other one to my in-laws as they are both retired and could use a break from looking after our eldery grandmother. I would hope they would travel down to NY state for a change of scene

Finances don't warrent a full vacation, every now and again my kids and I pick a local hotel with nice immenites and take a 1night vacation. would love to make it a whole weekend! the other card would go to my mother, since I live in a really small apartment I would love for her to come visit us from Florida and have a place she could sleep while she is here!

I would give it to my parents so they could travel to visit relatives in Ottawa. They are retired, but are reluctant to accept help, this would be a nice way to help them that wouldn't impact their pride!

I would not use the card for myself I would give both to a friend of mine who has kidney failure and her mom so they could go spend some quality time together and have some enjoyment together because the medicial bills has taken all the money and can not afford to go otherwise

What a treat it would be to win! I would use to take daughter to visit UC Berkeley and UC Santa Cruz.They are her dream schools, and they would help pay for lodging while we visit these collesge campuses; one for me and one for her!!

I would take my first vacation since 1997! I really miss seeing the beach and ocean, also haven't seen that since 1997. This would be a great thing for us.

We would take the kids to the final race of the 2011 NASCAR season in Miami-Homestead and I would give the second card to my mother for a nice relaxing vacation!!

I would use it to take my wife to new hampshire to see our 4 month old grandson. The kids live in a small apt. and don't have room for guests. I would use the first card for a family history road trip. I want to check the archives in Louisville, Kentucky for possible information about my great-great-great grandparents. While in Louisville, I'd want to check out the zoo and several other tourist attractions. I've often been through Louisville, but I've never been TO it.

I'd give the second card to my sister-in-law. I'd love to invite them for a visit, but I don't have the space to house their entire family while they're here. That way they could have a bit of help on the cost of the trip, and I'd get to see them sooner rather than later!

If I won the $250 Best Western Travel Card I would go to L.A. TODAY to visit my grandma. Her health has really been going down hill this year and I hope she makes it until next July 2012 when we plan on visiting. Money is tight and we have been saving all year.

As I near my college graduation one of my major plans is to road trip to the entire continental United States. Being a poor college student, and trying to road trip the US while trying to write about it and make a living off my writing could be greatly aided by these gift cards.

I would use the $250 gift card to take my kids to NYC to see the decorations & tree! I would give the other card to my sister so she could bring her kids and we would make it a family reunion!

My friend is getting married in Chicago so I'd use it towards my stay at the University Plaza location and I'd give the other card to my friend as part of her wedding present! The happy couple will be honeymooning in Denver so I'd give them the card for their travels!

We are traveling this winter to Fl from Mi. Another family/friends are following us..I would give one to the other family and keep one gc for ourselves. These gc's would take the sting out of the large expense of vacationing.

The first card I would use to either travel on business (I attend events around the country a couple of times a year) or to take my daughter on a trip. She is 8 years old and autistic, and thinks staying in hotels is the best adventure ever.

The second card I would give to my mom. Her longtime boyfriend is terminally ill and she may need to spend time staying in the hotel by the VA hospital that cares for him. At least then she wouldn't have to worry about the bill so much.

I would use it to stay at the new Hudsons Hope Best Western, which is located directly above the old ferry landing where I used to fish as a young child. It sure holds alot of memories for me and that area will be gone once the new Site C dam is in place. It will be flooded!

Second card will be given to my younger sister who took care of both my mom and dad in their final days. Her strength to do such a task is tremendous and I have so much respect and love for her.

We love the Sunday Brunch at the Best Western / Eden Resort in Lancaster PA. I would take the whole family for a special meal. It's close to home - so I would share the second card with my sister from Philadelphia. When she brings the kids to town, she always stays there so the kids can enjoy the indoor pool.

1. I would take my elderly mom on a weekend away. She hasn't been away since my dad passed away 6 years ago. They used to travel at least a couple of times a year, often more, even in their 70's. If I won it, she wouldn't be able to say no. And I'm sure she would remember how nice it is to get away and hopefully want to continue travelling again.

If I won a $250 gift card I would use it to pay for a room to visit my family for Thanksgiving in the San Francisco Bay Area. My parents house is too small to host everyone anymore so we rented a room at the Best Western to have a potluck Thanksgiving celebration together. If I won a $250 gift card to share, I would pay for 2 more rooms for my family members that are driving far to spend Thanksgiving with my mom & dad.

I would take my family on a nice weekend getaway, somewhere local, and give the other to my parents so they could come with us.

I have been trying to plan a trip to Universal Studios Florida for some time now but money is tight. If I won the $250 gift card, I would put it towards my stay there in Orlando, Florida.

I would use my card for a very special trip to the land of magic . . . Disney World. The second card would go to one of my children and their family to meet up with me for the magic, since we live very far apart. This would be so awesome if it could happen sometime in December.

When I win my $250 Best Western gift card I would use it to visit Jackson Hole, WY. Great old western town in a stunning location, with the Grand Tetons as backdrop & the beautiful Yellowstone National Park as neighbor. The BW Lodge at Jackson Hole has lovely rooms, good location for sightseeing & all the modern amenities one needs when traveling + much more. I'd love to give a 2nd gift card to my sister, who has never been to either Jackson Hole or Yellowstone before, so we could have adjoining rooms & share this amazing American adventure.

I would use the gift card for my honeymoon. We got married in September, but couldn't go on our honeymoon right after the wedding. We're saving to hopefully make our trip in January. I've been very diligently entering all contests I come across and maximizing our reward points.

I would give the gift card to my parents. In the 30years since they've been in the US, they have only gone back to China twice. With the gift card, it will make their next trip a little sooner.

I have always wanted to travel by train. I have always wanted to play Pebble Beach golf course and go wine tasting in northern California. If I had the $250.00 travel card I would book a trip with Amtrak to northern California. I would stay at the Best Western in Napa and play a round of golf at Pebble Beach. I would also go visit my family who live in Sunnyvale. I would visit Carmel and Monterey and watch the sea lions at Big Sur. What a trip of a lifetime!

I would use the card for myself to take a trip to Hershey PA.

I would give the other card to my mom, she goes out of town to gynmanstic meets for my niece. It would come in handy for her.

I'd use it for my cross country move or maybe for a girls trip to Savannah that I've been wanting to do. The second one I'd give to my folks for Christmas because they are always so generous with me & they deserve a vacation.

My husband and I enjoy visiting our sons while they are away at college. We are renting an apartment for our sons near the college they are attending. On our last visit, to save money, my husband slept on the couch and I slept on a blow up mattress in our sons' apartment. It was one of the worst nights sleeps ever. I would use the $250 Best Western Travel Card to stay at the nearest Best Western hotel. Since my loving husband is the most generous man I have ever met, I would give the $250 Best Western gift card to him for additional trips to see our sons.

I would go to Italy and take my girlfriend! We've both been dreaming about going to Rome.

I would travel around Canada with a $250.00 GC and I would give a $250.00 GC to my husband so he would take me with him.

I would give the card to my loving fiance who has taken such good care of me and my son. We just recently lost a baby after me having to be on bedrest for 1 month and not able to do anything for myself. He did everything....cooked, cleaned, made lunch for school, walked the dogs, read to my son at school after he dropped him, loved and cared for me and also worked.

Besides having thier own year-round indoor water park and 42" widescreen TV's in every room, they also have thier own generator to keep the place up and running during a power outage. During the 2003 black out, they provided support for the first responders and others that needed support (such as meals) during that unusual event. Anyway, this place is so nice that my relatives would rather stay at the Best Western Sterling Inn instead of my home.

First of all, if I was lucky enough to win a $250 gift card for myself I would probably use it one of two ways. My husband and I have never had a honeymoon and we have been together for over 16 years and married for 12 years. I would maybe plan a get together for us by ourselves or I would use it to take my family on a vacation which we have never had either. My daughter is 8 years old and we have never been on a family vacation either with all of us together. So I have two great ways to use it. And if I won another one to give away I would have to share it with my mom. She is selfless and always thinks of me and my family in every way she can so being able to give back to her someway would be fantastic. She never goes anywhere either and this would give her a great reason to get away and relax.

If given a travel card, it would be used to visit the Branson area for Christmas......I have a 7 year old boy, and he needs to see and remember the importance of Christmas and the totally see the spirit of the year. Being a single parent, it is sometimes hard to give him the memories he needs.

I would give my mother a travel card, she has helped us in so many ways, she might enjoy a trip to Branson also. A way to give back in a different way than money itself.

Gosh no competition with this one (Sorry about the pun) but I would use it for our trip to Scotland next year and go to the best Best Western I have ever been too. A small little town called Glenrothes. The Balgeddie House was so good that I cannot wait to go there again. So beautiful and the staff were amazing and so helpful. It was my first trip to Scotland and it was the accommodation of Best Western that made the fantastic holiday that it was. I now do not stay in any other motel. Would drive a bit further to make sure I found a Best Western.

If I won two Best Western Travel Cards, I would give one to my best friend, and I would keep one. We seniors still have a lot of "travel" in us, and we could go on a trip to see our grown "kids." Along the way we would make a few side trips such as to Savanna, GA and Charleston, SC. We might even hit the Outer Banks of NC. We would visit many places we have never seen, and we would "visit" the entire trip covering many topics we have never discussed! Of course, we would stay at BEST WESTERNS every night along the way. We travel to Florida every year. It's a two overnight stay for us to get to our destination from where we live in Ontario Canada. At our age, we are finding the long hours on the road getting more and more taxing every year. With an extra $250, we could take our time and stay at various Best Westerns on our way down and be able to spend time visiting some of the interesting spots on our route, and not be so tired when we reach our destintion in Florida.

I would give the card to my parents. My mom recently got laid off, and they haven't had a vacation in years!

I would use the card to take my daughters out for some fun! Last time we went to a hotel, my eldest had a broken arm and couldn't go swimming, and she was very sad about that. I know they would love to get out of the MN cold this winter for a few days of swimming at an indoor pool!

I became disabled a couple of years ago & have not been able to afford a vacation since. I would use the card to have a nice little vacation, and share the other with a disabled friend so she could join me.

First of all, I would take the family down the street, food shopping for the up coming two holidays. The head of the household, is now the mother and she is struggling to make ends meet. Even if I do not win this contest, I will still take this family shopping with my Social Security disability. It's not much, but I am blessed with my little family.

Well for the $250 BW travel card for myself I would take my hard working husband on a weekend get - a way to Kalispell Montana and stay at the beautiful Best Western so that he could relax, forget about the stress of work and life and just enjoy the scenery.

In the last several years my children and us have endured so many recent deaths of grandparents and great grandparents, all too young and all caused by cancer/lukemia. For us we have endured the never-ending pain that goes with it, we are in need of some close family time to try to heal. Both of my wife's parents passed within 2 years of each other, in their 50's, then her grandmother, in her 70's, and recently my father received a stem cell transplant with stage 4 lukemia, and has beaten it. We would like to celebrate the success, while putting the stresses of this behind us if only for a few days in a Best Western.

The second card with be given to my parents to travel with us, in their 60's, someplace nice so that we could share the time together. They deserve the break after enduring the transplant, while also having an adult mentally disabled son, talk about stress.

I would use the card to visit my daughter. My daughter has just relocated from Kelowna to near moose Jaw Sask. The card would allow me to spend some extra time with my daughter in Regina. As my daughter really loves swimming and can't do it as much we would stay at the Best Western Seven Oaks in Regina.

As Christmas is coming and money is tight it would be nice to have some extra time with daughter as I only get to see her usually 4 days a month. This card would go a long ways in helping me spend a little extra time.

The economy has made it tough for a lot of us but this is an accomplishment for my son that we wont miss. Pleasant, MI. Maybe we will all double our money, and maybe we will lose it all. However, we will enjoy ourselves to the fullest because life goes by so quick! As parents we are constantly dedicating ourselves to their lives, and trust me, they deserve it! But amazing parents need to take the time to enjoy themselves once in awhile, because that is what keeps them going as amazing parents. And two tiny little gift cards could make all the difference in not only the lives of two sets of couples, but play a part in keeping their kids with happy, sane parents! :)

We stayed at a lovely Best Western in Hallandale Beach area, Florida. We really need a getawaycation - perhaps go back and visit Fort Lauderdale this time. I would keep one certificate for myself and if it is not too selfish, give the other to my husband - we would both enjoy ourselves - maybe even to to the Hard Rock as well - who knows maybe we could get lucky more than once.

The rules- start a trip and head toward each other to meet in the middle at A Best Western. We'd each have to find and get items each other gives on a list on our journey and we have to show up in the middle at the hotel we reach with ours items.

Example: A brochure for a water park, a bottle of a local beverage from some small town, a photo of the family in front of a seascape..etc..that sort of thing.

I'd use it to help pay for travel expenses when my daughter competes at her gymnastic meets. We're starting to travel more now for competition, and it gets expensive.

I'd take the second one and share it with our gym, so they can use it to raise funds for their charities. That way, another family gets to benefit from its use when traveling, and the gym's charity benefits. They donate a lot of time and efforts to our local autistic community, and to M-Lisada.

My husband deploys in less than 2 months and our daughter and I are moving in with family. We have to drive from California to Washington State so I would use it for lodging since we'll probably be making at least 3 overnight stops. I love going on road trips but this time we'll be in seperate cars because we don't want to store either car for a year. What would I do with a $250 Best Western gift card? I would give it to my husband. He works in Maryland. The kids and I live in Florida. You know, the down turn of the economy and all. When he comes home he has to drive 16 hours, he usually will drive straight through.
And he does this drive after working a physically demanding construction job. It would make my heart fell better if he could stop at a Best Western, sleep for the night, then drive the remaining 8 hours. He's been doing this for over 3 years. He began the job in Maryland when our son was 3 months old, our son is now 3 1/2.

Now who would I give the other $250 Best Western gift card to? That's a tough one, but I'd probably give that one to my husband, too! We want him to stay safe when coming home and going back to Maryland. If by some wondrous chance he finds a job in Florida before the gift card is used up, then I would give it a family with kids that is homeless, so they could have a comfortable night sleep or 2. There are so many people down on their luck.

My wife and daugther are living in Montana and I am working at a recruit Marine Base in CA. I only see them 3-4 times a year and we usually meet in Denver. This Christmas I will not be able to get to see them unless they drive down to CA (flights are just to expensive this year). This card would help with travel expenses and we could be together as a family for Christmas.

The second card I would donate to one of our Marines/Families that are driving back home for Christmas. Most of these troops/familes only have a short amout of time off and they try to drive straight through to where they are going and this would help them split the trip up.

My little cousin is in the military and is serving overseas in Iraq. He has missed his birthday and Halloween, a previously planned trip to Nashville and is missing Thanksgiving and Christmas. Josh is an amazing son. During recent surgery he showed his maturity with the support he gave his mom. He is a wonderful son who is finally having some success with school. He works diligently at his studies, gaining very decent grades. He is a helping with the junior boys school team, has volunteered with the senior girls basketball school team and plays senior basketball. This is in addition to playing on the school badminton and soccer team. He also is actively involved in the school fundraising efforts. He will be taking a first level course to gain certification as a basketball coach and a refereeing clinic. These activities are all in addition to the normal activities and lifestyle of a 16 year old. Yes my son is only 16, but deserves the time away and has a loyality to the Best Western Gateway International located in Romulus Michigan. The staff are awesome and recognize my sons love of basketball. He loves the basketball court at this location, loves to joke with the staff and mom can still back and enjoy seeing him relax with a sport he loves.

My step-mother passed away unexpectedly Sept 18, in northern Idaho. I live in southern Arizona, so I flew up to Idaho to assist my elderly, and chronically ill father back home to Arizona. The last family vacation we took was to DisneyWorld in May 2008. It was the best vacation we've ever had! Looking back, we are so thankful we were able to do it because six months later our 4 year old son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and the budget became much tighter. We are big fans of the BW Travel Card. We have used them on many holidays, and to take our kids to university, as well as to numerous soccer tournaments.

The first BW gift card I would give to my husband, his father was diagnose with aggressive cancer. This card would allow a few more days visit with his father.

My wife and I would use the first card and I would give the secound to our best friends, so that we all could go to Cleveland and visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I would use it as mental health relief and travel up the coast of California, as my neighbors continue their very loud house reconstruction during the holidays.

I would give it to one of my international students at the University of Southern California, who often can't afford to go home during the holidays and end up in the dorm. This would be a great alternative!

When I travel for my job I always stay at the Best Western. The people there are very helpful, courteous, and friendly. Although I would love to take a vacation with my husband, I'd surely share a vacation with our youngest daughter. Presently she is attending law school and struggling with three young children. I know she is weary but not a quitter.

I would use one to visit N. Dakota the only state that I have not been to. The other would go to a marine vietnam Vet from our Assoc. who would need financial help to go to our reunion in 2012.

We just enjoyed staying at 4 different Best Western Hotels visiting several Canyon Parks with great satisfaction. Reservations were always correct, rooms, beds, very comfortable, breakfasts delicious, all were a great value for the price, locations were excellent and Best Western's website is very easy to navigate and book rooms. I would give extra bonus to Mom for her 90th birthday travels.

I would use a $250.00 gift card to take my husband to the beach. The BEST WESTERN PLUS Beach Resort Monterey is a perfect getaway to the beach and to spend time with him. Not taking care of anybody else or any other problems, just enjoying ourselves reconnecting. It is not too far from home that you feel you need a vacation to recoup from your vacation. My husband was born near the beach and the saying goes you can take the boy from the beach, but you can't take the beach out of the boy. He has been looking for a hotel where you can just walk out onto the beach. My 2nd choice would be the Best Westerns in Pismo Beach on the cliffs. Having our own little beach and the privacy was amazing. Just would like to do it without kids.To not think about medical issues, kids, school. just get away.

We are Canadian Snowbirds and we travel back and forth from Winnippeg, MB to Apache Junction, AZ every fall and spring so we would use the $250. for motel accomodations on the way back home.
