This summer, I travelled a few places! First, I visited my best friend in Irmo, South Carolina back in July. Then, I visited my family in Pittsburgh, PA in August! Lots of driving as I am in Virginia! My biggest trip is yet to come though....end of October, driving from virginia, to pittsburgh to west virginia, and then to talladega alabama (and then reverse trip 5 days later!) Lots and lots of travelling all year round for me!!

My vacation took me to Texas for 2 days then on to New Mexico. Colorado followed and we explored the western part of that state for 4 days. Then it was back home to Mississippi.

We travelled from Boise to the Oregon coast. We loved the beaches and the cool evenings and the great little shops. We also travelled to Denver and explored new territory for us and to Eastern Washington to see family and friends. It was a very busy travel summer!

Where else? We went to Disneyland! Our family of six stayed at the Best Western Park Plaza Inn. It is directly across the street from Disneyland and California Adventure, even less steps than the Disneyland Hotel, which is where we stayed the last time. Of course, we had a fabulous time! The staff at the Best Western were always very friendly and helpful. Zippity-doo-dah-zippity-yay...

My husband and I traveled each on our Harleys, through west Texas and New Mexico. We explored the mountains and deserts of the Big Bend region as well as the caverns at Carlsbad and everything in between! What a great trip, 1800 miles! We stayed at the Best Western in Alpine, and oh what a super stay it was. Great breakfast, super friendly staff, so clean and cozy. Kuddos, Alpine!

We went to Disneyland! This was the first time for my two grandchildren, Madison 6 and Emileigh 4. It was wonderful for the six of us and then our trip took us to the Best Western in Jacksonville for 3 nights for a 2- day Family Reunion. We can't wait to do it again.

Best Westen Carolinian In Myrtle Beach was incredible! Being on a strict budget due to the economy (especially in Detroit) we were able to get 2 nights for the price of one in an ocean front effiency. We had found very inexpensive air fare for three full days. We also saved money by cooking some of the abundant fresh seafood from the area! We were able to walk the short distance to the pier and activitys. We could see dolfins dancing in the waves from our balcony. The front desk staff showed us true southern hospitality! I can hardly wait to return someday!

This Summer we traveled to Lake Guntersville on several occasions. It is only 45 minutes from where we live, but a lot of fun! We went boating and tubing and swimming in the lake with the kids.
Can't wait until next Summer to do it all again!

My summer vacation took my sister and I to Florida! We visited Key West where we stayed at theBest Western Key West Ambassador Inn!! Very nice! Had the most beautiful pool overlooking the ocean! We than went to Miami where we saw Gatorland and Miami Beach. Than off to Orlando where we stayed at the Best Western Universal Inn, right across from Universl Studios!! THey had the most awesome selection of tourist info and brochures imaginable and we planned out the next 2 days of our holiday from the brochures. We went to Daytona the next day and spent all day at Daytona beach which ws incredible, with the Pier and drinks in real coconuts! An awesome souvenier! The next day we went out to Cape Canaveral to see the NASA Space Center which was absolutely amazing!!

My summer also envited my sister and I to visit West Edmonton Mall in Alberta, which was incredible! We stayed at the Best Western Westwood Inn, which was right around the corner from the mall. We also enjoyed the biggest indoor water park attraction ever!! You can go on a different water slide every time for the entire day!!!

Best Western made our summer so much fun with the afforability and great locations you can always count on!!

Just made it to qualify as summer, but we just got back from a few days in Finger Lakes wine country with a stay at the Best Western Vineyard Inn and Suites in Penn Yan, NY! We've stayed at this property before (it's in a great location) and it never disappoints! Friendly staff, HUGE rooms (perfect for storing all of my wine country "souvenirs"), centrally located, and very reasonable. It's a great getaway location - great wineries, the beautiful Keuka Lake (check out the nearby Basin Park Marina to rent powerboats or sailboats or the Morgan Marina to rent kayaks or pontoons), swimming nearby at Keuka State Park, some amazing restaurants, and a great location to just relax! Check it out during the autumn!

We just returned from a 4 night / 5 day trip to the Disneyland resort, where we stayed at the Best Western Park Place Inn & Suites located directly across the street. What a fun vacation we had with our 2 1/2 year old! Great time of year to go and celebrate our family.

Went to Florida in June. Oldest son got married down there. Stayed at the Best Western Deltona Inn in Deltona Florida. Had a very pleasant stay. What suprised me was I booked on line for 1 price, then when I went to check out, they were having a speical and my bill was cheaper than what I had agreed to. That is awesome!

This summer I travelled around in Spain. My favorite place is definitely Sevilla and Granada in the south of Spain. The excursion to Granada is of great cultural, natural and landscape interest as you got to see the peaks of the Sierra Nevada, which is one of the most important natural reserve in Spain- The Alhambra and the Generalife gardens, have been declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Me and my family stayed at the Hotel Best Western in the historical centre of Granada and I was very impressed with this hotel. Excellent value for money. We had a lovely spacious room with big bathroom and juliette balcony. The hotel was lovely and warm and the reception very friendly. The hotel is just off the centre of town but very close to the main shopping area and close to the cathedral. We had a really nice stay in Spain- Cant wait to travel more next summer. I post the link of the two hotels that I can recommend if someone plan a trip to the Granada (Spain) . Suites Gran Va 44 and
    Hotel Best Western

This summer I took a few more trips than usual. First, was a week spent in sunny Tucson, Arizona. Then, a week spent between Charleston and Hilton Head, SC. Lastly, I just returned from a long weekend in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The theme for my summer trips... "places I have never been". I loved it! Had a great time, and am looking forward to more trips this year, with Best Western! Especially to Portland, Maine and a room with a fireplace and jacuzzi!

First trip of the summer was a solemn one, to Galesburg Il for my grandmother's funeral. She was 89 and it was over my birthday. Then came a happier trip to Buffalo, NY to visit my wife's friends and family for a week. The final trip was for business but it was to Delray Beach, FL which was quite beautiful, as I stayed right on the beach.

We would've liked to have visited Key West...but health expenses dictated us to stay home this year. My son's a Senior now so I hope we can have one last trip before he's in college! We'd love to stay at the Best Western in Key West!

Got married August 1 and went up to the Finger Lakes Region for a few days after the wedding....stayed at the Best Western at Cornell University....had a blast seeing the sights and doing the wine trails!!! Our BIG honeymoon however is in December....going to the Riviera Maya....can't wait!

After being laid off this summer I decided to stimulate the economy with my severance and took a Coastal Sabbattical. I went from Phoenix to San Diego thru all of Coastal Cali to Oregon and then up to Seattle. 3 beautiful states - 36 days - one severance. Priceless.

Had a wonderful time this summer on a Caribbean cruise with extended family - more than 20 of us ranging from the age of 2 to over 70. Also visited family in Texas, had a quick run through LA for a weekend and started it all with a week's jaunt in London, England. It was one summer I'll always remember.

We went to MALAGA, SPAIN for our HONEYMOON this summer! It was so much fun to get away like that (its the most me and my new husband have ever been). Lee and I had a guest count of 150 people at our wedding and it was all planned and orginized by yours truly, and turned out great im told (was not realy that worried about it come the wedding day). It was so nice to get away after all that hard work and planning. The best part of our trip to spain was when we left an extra day early to get to the airport in Vancouver (We like in Kelowna Bc) and stayed at the Best Western in Abbotsford BC. We told no one we left early so they were wondering were we went hehe, thats half the fun. The hotel in Abbotsford was soo nice to us, we stoped in (we are Best Western travlers when we can, my husband and I ussaly stay in the one in Nelson BC on his monthly trips) late at night and told them it was just a random stop on our way to our honeymoon and they in turn upgraded our room to a very nice king bed with couch and tv and eating nook, kept the hot tub open late for us (cuz I soo wanted one) and supplied us with bathrobes (First time EVER to get robes!!!!!). I would have to say hands down it was better then our three night stay in Vancouver waiting for a flights (not a Best Western) and just as good as the resort in Spain (minus the view from our tarrece). We hope to be able to do a small trip every anniversry (thinking Walt Disney World next year)....

Ps, We are now expecting a wonderfull little bundle of joy!

We started summer early in May with a stay at the Best Western in Del Mar, CA. We've stayed there a number of times before, and it's such a comfortable place to be. By special request we had a room right by the poolside, and our grandchildren had such fun - I think they liked the afternoons there better than the beach! The hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood, away from traffic, but just a block away from the beach and a nice walk to the little Del Mar shops and eateries. Big rooms, friendly staff. Ideal place to relax and rest up for all that southern California has to offer!

My small family and I went and stayed in Richfield, Uth and got together with many family members we have not seen in several years. Since it has been several years many of our cousins have children close to the same age as our child. Our daughter and their daughters had a blast together. It is always good to see family. Family is number one reason we travel to go and see grandma's and grandpa's and to have fun together!

My husband and I took our 12 month old son on his first road trip from the LA area to Crater Lake, OR. Along the way we stopped in June Lake, Lake Tahoe, Burney Falls, Mt. Lassen, Crater Lake, Fort Bragg, Avenue of the Giants and ended our trip catching up with some old friends in the Bay area. The trip was so much fun and very exciting. We were able to experience a lot of "first's" with our son, such as, first time touching snow and eating it too, seeing bubbling mud at Mt. Lassen, meeting some geese at Lake Tahoe, seeing the shear amazement on his face while watching Burney Falls, eating Marion berry pancakes that were bigger than him at the Crater Lake Lodge, watching the skunk train pull into Ft. Bragg in excitement, until the train blew it's horn and scared him, distant family members were able to met our son for their first time but the most exciting thing was watching our son take his first steps while at June Lake. A trip that we will always remember.

I recently stayed at the Best Western Cypress Creek, in Ocean Springs Mississippi and was extremely disappointed in the property. The room was dirty and appeared not to have been vacuumed which included a used coffee stir in floor under the sink, the bathroom was dirty, including hairs in and on the tub, the bottom of the tub had a dirt ring in it, the tolit had not been sanitized and the mirror was dirty and streaked. No other rooms were available due to "Cruise the Coast" weekend, and there was no one to clean the room. Management was contacted as well as the International Best Western Customer service. The room was $159 for the night and the best that I could get was a $40 credit. I wouldn't have paid $25 for the room. I hope you publish this comment so that other guests do not experience the same problem.
