Last summer, I took my 10 year-old daughter to New York and one of our highlights was the American Girl Place. If you have girls (and don't mind spending the cash) its a once in a childhood experience. There is something magical about three floors of dolls and accessories.

Another highlight for us was M&M world. We stopped in mainly to get out of the rain, but my daughter loved it. It even made it into her 5th grade country report as one of the must see tourist sites of New York. Ellis Island and its history also made a huge impact on her.

The Egyptian exhibit at the MET was another unforgettable stop. I doubt there is a kid alive that won't be enthralled by all the mummies.

Fabulous food and an out of this world peanut butter pie, not to mention delicious key-lime pie. Yum!

Edinburgh and Stirling have the status of having some of Europe's most striking strutures. All of the Scottish Castles will beguile the ingenuity.

The Highland Games will be occurring during the Luxury Singles Travel tour time and take place in many places in Scotland. Highland dancers and pipers and the colour and grandeur of the Scottish scenery which forms their array, Highland Games is a must on any visitor's Scotland itinerary. They usually comprise a programme of field and track events, piping and Highland dancing competitions and 'heavy events' like the tug-o-war, the hammer throw and tossing the caber.

Scotland is also known as the Home of Golf. Scotland has over 550 picturesque Golf courses. Scotland's prenominal Golf Ambassadors are Catriona Matthew, Steven O'Hara, and Sam Torrance.

One of the best tours that was offered this summer 2008 to Scotland was with Luxury Singles Travel. Included 13 whole days of exploring Scotland.
