Best Western's Hot New Properties - France! Italy! China!

So anybody who knows me knows how much I love international travel. The food, the trains, the hotels, the history, and the culture! There isn't anything about traveling internationally that I don't like. I don't even mind all the extra passport checks and security pat-downs. It really isn't so bad! I've been through Ireland and Great Britain, the Caribbean, and parts of Africa and South America. However, I have yet to get to France or China. I would like these countries to be next on my list.

While I have been fortunate to have traveled throughout Ireland, England, and Scotland, I have never actually been to France. And with all of its history and art, I have always regretted it. I can't wait to visit the museums, and taste the wine and food, and ride through the countryside to the little towns that often get overlooked. After the obvious stops in Paris and Le Mans, one of my stops will be at the all new BESTWESTERN Hotel de la Cite in Guerande. From there, my list will include the Medieval Town Guerande as well as the Briere National Park.

After I have soaked up all I can from the country of France (did I mention I like a good red wine?), I will be heading to Italy for a few days. Unfortunately, due to time and budget limitations, I will be spending most of my time in Rome. Sounds tough right? I cannot wait to have some great food and visit the Coliseum and the Forum. Enjoy the sounds of the Trevi Fountain and all people at the Spanish Steps. I am also excited to see the Vatican, with all its history and art. While in Rome, I will also be enjoying the new BEST WESTERN Hotel Franklin Feel the Sound. It is a brand new hotel, just steps from the Vatican, which is "devoted to good music, design, technology, and friendly good times." Perfect!

Although I have traveled extensively throughout the world, I have never been to Asia. China seems like such a mysterious country to me. I'm excited to experience all that it has to offer. From the Great Wall to the Terracotta Warriors and the Forbidden City, I feel like I have so much to learn! Ultimately, I would love to make my way from Shanghai toward the more southern points of the country, including Hong Kong and Macau. One of my stops along the way will be at the new BEST WESTERN Cixi Hotel, located in Cixi, China. With 150 single, double, suite and deluxe suites available, I'm sure I'll get some much-needed rest!
