Harley-Davidson is a company that marks its anniversaries with pride. 2013 represents the 110th anniversary of H-D production, and the Motor Company will not let the milestone go unrecognized.
Ten Harley-Davidson models will be available as 110th Anniversary Editions, with unique serial number plates, Anniversary Vintage Bronze/Anniversary Vintage Black paint (CVO models get Diamond Dust/Obsidian paint), solid bronze commemorative fuel tank badges and anniversary badging and trim. The Anniversary Editions will each be loaded with all available factory-installed options as standard equipment with a premium price of between $665 and $2,495 over the corresponding non-Anniversary models.
The ten 110th Anniversary Edition Harley-Davidsons are:
- 1200 Custom 110th Anniversary Edition (limited to a quantity of 1,500): MSRP $11,699
- Super Glide Custom 110th Anniversary Edition (limited to a quantity of 1,450): MSRP $15,999
- Fat Boy Lo 110th Anniversary Edition (limited to a quantity of 1,750): MSRP $19,499

- CVO Road Glide Custom 110th Anniversary Edition (limited to a quantity of 900): $33,999
Putting out self-referential limited editions might seem like hubris, but Anniversary models have proven to be collector's items, retaining higher resale value, even for non-traditional interval years. Harley owners are a sentimental lot, and they will pay a little extra for a special model from the factory. I've got my eye on the Road King...
