MY 5

Scottsdale.jpgWe recently moved and yes I am still living out of boxes! As you can imagine, I have gone through the grueling task of changing my address seemingly a thousand times. While doing this I had to change my mobile phone plan and update my five favourite (or most popular) numbers I call, which got the creative juices flowing. Inspired by my mobile phone plan, I have created a travel version of "MY 5" which is a mini version of my travel favourite places. The five places I can count on and enjoy going back to again and again. Without further adieu, I give you MY Travel 5:

Scottsdale - with three family trips to Scottsdale, Arizona in the last 5 years it definitely makes the list. I love the desert and everything that Scottsdale has to offer. If you've never been you need to go. With a terrific climate, beautiful landscape, great dining, golf, hiking, it's easy to see why so many Canadians spend so much time in Arizona!

London, ON - my pick for a night or two away with the family is London, ON. Twice in the last two years we have packed up for a quick getaway and stayed at the BEST WESTERN PLUS Lamplighter Inn. It's just over an hour away and feels like a real getaway, we can bring our dog and the kids love the indoor heated pool and waterslide!

New York City - for a weekend away (with or without kids) I love New York. I still have so many things to do that I haven't been able to get to yet including seeing both a Rangers and a Yankee game, going to Ellis Island and jogging in central park, but there's always the next trip. The last two times in NYC I have stayed at the BEST WESTERN PLUS Hospitality House and the
BEST WESTERN PLUS President Hotel at Times Square, I highly recommend either one.

Paris, France - I could write ten blogs about Paris alone but needless to say it's definitely on my top five. I have such great memories of sipping coffee at a local cafe and watching the world go by. I also love the history and culture of the city. I can't wait to go back. We are waiting for the right time to take our kids and that time is coming soon - 2013 just may be the year.

Myrtle Beach
- As you likely know by know I am an avid golfer and my father and I have made an annual golf trip to Myrtle Beach. We typically go for 5 days and we golf til we drop! It's perfect for us Canadians in the shoulder season (either March or November) to either get a head start on the season or to squeeze out a few more rounds before winter sets in!

There you have it, MY Travel 5. What's on your list?
