Motorcycle Events 2011

Here are a few of the major motorcycle events scheduled for 2011. Take a look at your calendar, and see if you've got room for a trip! Even though there are BEST WESTERN Hotels near each of these events, rooms often book up well in advance, so plan early!

March 4 - 13: Bike Week 2011, Daytona Beach, Florida.
Known as "The World's Biggest Motorcycle Event," Bike Week is a 10-day festival that was originally built around actual motorcycle racing.

March 12: The Daytona 200, Daytona, Florida.
A great chance to see world-class motorcycle racing in person.

March 30 - April 3: Arizona Bike Week, Mesa, Arizona.
This is the 15th year of the Arizona Bike Week, a wonderful venue for music, with appearances from major bands planned.

April 27 - May 1: Laughlin River Run, Laughlin, Nevada.
Great weather, great riding and a wild atmosphere.

May 29: Rolling Thunder, Washington, DC.
The 24th annual ride into our nation's capital to bring awareness to POW-MIA issues.

June 7 -11: Americade, Lake George, NY.
An all-brands rally with an emphasis on touring riders, rider education and safety.

June 11 - 19: Laconia Motorcycle Week, Laconia, New Hampshire.
The "Yang" to Americade's "Ying," Laconia is pure biker fun.

July 22 - 24: AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, Lexington, Ohio.
A rolling celebration of America's motorcycle heritage, including vintage motorcycle racing at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

August 8 - 14: Sturgis Rally and Races, Sturgis, South Dakota.
The granddaddy of them all, the rally that every Harley rider dreams of attending at least once.

August 18 - 20: North Carolina State H.O.G. Rally, Matthews/Charlotte, North Carolina.
Last year's event featured a private VIP event in the new NASCAR Hall of Fame -- wonder what they have planned for this year?

September 1 - 4: Milwaukee Rally, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The biggest motorcycle rally in the Midwest, and a great chance to visit the Harley-Davidson Museum.

September 29 - October 2: Las Vegas BikeFest, Las Vegas, Nevada.
What happens in Vegas is a whole lot of fun.

October 14 - 17: Biketoberfest, Daytona Beach, Florida.
We're back to where we started, and fun in the sun in Florida.
