Behind The Scenes At The Raceway With Michael Waltrip
September 7 2011 by Chris McGinnis
In my post a few weeks ago, you read about my recent business trip that included an overnight stay at the swank BEST WESTERN PREMIER Ivy Hotel in Napa and a fun-filled morning with two-time Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip.
The second half of that day we went on a tour of Michael's world-- he took me on a behind-the-scenes tour at the nearby Infineon Raceway.
What you'll see in this episode is a look at the way Michael and his team criss-cross the country in a fleet of big rigs that transport everything from race cars and spare parts to 80-person Windshield Warrior crews that travel about 60,000 miles a year.
Peek inside one of the team's souped up Camrys that look at lot different on the inside than any Camry you've ever seen on the freeway.
If you recall from last week's episode, we put Michael to work at a Best Western hotel. Well, in the new episode, you see how Michael turned the tables on me and put me to work at the raceway.
Now that was one fantastic business trip!
