Describing Best Western
February 15 2011 by Chris McGinnis
Starting this month, every Best Western hotel in the U.S. and Canada will fall into one of three different categories: BEST WESTERN PREMIER®, BEST WESTERN PLUS® and BEST WESTERN®.
This will make it easier for travelers to choose the hotel that best suits their needs and should help set expectations for their stays.
As every frequent Best Western guest knows, the chain is comprised of a diverse portfolio of properties.
There are large and luxurious hotels in big downtown, suburban or resort areas that earn three to four diamond ratings from AAA...you know the ones that make you say, "Wow!" Properties like that will fall into the BEST WESTERN PREMIER® category.
Then there are those upscale properties that include everything a business traveler may need to get down to business in an upscale, contemporary and efficient environment. These hotels, which typically get a three-star rating from AAA, will fall into the BEST WESTERN PLUS® category.
There are also thousands of standard Best Westerns that we all know and love...perhaps the ones along interstates that are perfect for a great night's sleep in a clean, convenient and familiar environment, which typically maintain a two to three-star AAA rating. These hotels will fall into the BEST WESTERN® category.
To help guests identify the hotel type, signage will soon change, so be on the lookout for signs like these at hotels, in ads and online.
